Great food for delivery. We took a gamble and tried this place w/ delivery, and it turned out pretty well - always fun to try new cuisines! We got the doner kabob, which was really good and a HUGE portion. It came with a "salad," which we later figured out was actually a dessert bar made up of some stringy sweet stuff and nuts (doesn't sound/look too appetizing but it was really good). The price wasn't too bad either, pretty standard for a mid-range delivery restaurant in the Brookline area. The delivery did take 1.5 hours instead of 45 minutes, so I'm docking a star for that... Definitely worth a try!

Very rude non-classy, non educated people.. 1.Mixed Grill (karisik Izgara) The tomatoes were sour the lamb was burned

2.Sultan's Belight(hunkar Begendi) the eggplant puree was too liquidly and the lamb was too salty.

3.The Musakka; on this dish the tomato sauce was not fresh and I found hair on the eggplant.

What type of place is this?

I do not recoment it to anyone, Your complains are not accept it because they don't even speak English!

service with a smile. Went to the family restaurant Sunday night in fact i was really looking forward to it. The service here to say the least needs attention. Not a smile or a simple hello when we entered in fact we were made to feel like a unwanted Family member. We waited for ten minutes before we got up and left. I did get a glass of water which was cold like the service. That was my first and last time i will ever enter the so called Family well not my Family restaurant.

Wonderful food!. We have gone back to Family Restaurant repeatedly since discovering it last Spring. We have also introduced it to all our friends. The food is wonderful, varied, and very homey. From the outside, the place looks a bit like a converted diner, but that's easily forgotten by the first bite. We love everything we have tried: the hummus is some of the best in Boston, the tomato soup, the chicken and mixed grill kebabs, the eggplant dishes, and most importantly, the dessert! Every time we try a different housemade dessert and we have yet to be disappointed. This is definitely one of our favorite restaurants and quite affordable, too.

do not even try to go. It was not succesful. I brought my friends to introduce turkish food but the service was very bad. Then they told us they burnt the pide. The last and the disgusting part was: WE SAW A small creature under the table(mouse)... It was discusting and I got very embarassed,,,

Casual Brookline Village restaurant provides local residents with affordable, reasonably authentic Turkish cuisine.. In Short
Amid casual, modest environs, homesick ex-pats and Brookline residents nibble on freshly grilled kebabs and soft flatbread. By day, the restaurant serves cafeteria-style, while speedy servers patrol the dining room at night. Authentic menu items include savory tripe soup, stuffed baby eggplant, doner-kebab sandwiches and chicken kebabs with yogurt sauce. Wine and beer, including a few Turkish varieties, are served, as are homemade desserts like rice pudding and sticky-sweet baklava.

Old food. I went there because some friends recommended. But they served undercooked meat when i asked for "very well done" - at least 2 days old rice and 2 days old salad mixed with couple fresh ingredients. It was a very bad experience for me. The only thing I liked was the calamari.

One of my favorites!. Ive been to this restaurant many times since i discovered it a couple of months ago. I love taking my friends and family here because it is pretty much guaranteed that they would enjoy the food. Everyone should also try out their desserts. I also love how they are very affordable and are open late at night. They will definitely be seeing more of me and my family.
