The Scene – So long as there are families in search of kid-approved Italian fare served family-style, Vinny T's will remain profitable. Few patrons look up from their troughs of pasta to notice the faux-Italian decor (checkered tablecloths, pictures of Italian-Americans icons like Frank Sinatra). Good food. Large quantities.... nothing special if you ask me. It does have good value, as I had 2 other meals from my one visit.
Service was friendly. I would go there for cheap Italian... for great italian go to the North End.

I like Vinny T's on Newbury so I gave it a try here as well. I ordered what I always order, the linguine with white clam sauce. I loved it~ My friend had the same thing in red sauce and that was really good too. I like the atmosphere here, I would recommend it if you wanted to take your parents out for casual dinner or something.

If you haven't been to Vinny T's of Boston, formerly known as Vinny Testa's, then you're in for a pleasant surprize. Not only have they changed the name, but the food quality, presentation, ingredients, and overall cravability has improved dramatically. Not to mention the service and the overall welcoming, friendliness of everyone you encounter. Before posting one more word about Vinny T's - You should really give them another try. It's not the old Vinny Testa's you remember!
