Have owned the car for a year + and have brought it to Brookline Volkswagon AUDI for each milestone service to date. THEY ARE A RIP-OFF! Standard oil change is $90-100! For a bleepin OIL CHANGE! They charge for every ounce of ANY fluid they put in your car! When I purchased the car, I realized a couple months later that I didn't have the 'entire' manual for the vehicle. I went to the Parts Dept, explained the situation, and they said they'd order the missing sections. 5 WEEKS LATER...I called and they said unless I paid for the manual UPFRONT, they could not order it! I contacted the General Manager of Sales and he personally order the manual for me at NO COST! Finally, just today, I needed the right rear tail light for my car. I ordered it 3 weeks ago when I had my last RIP-OFF OIL CHANGE! No one ever called to tell me the part was in...I called, made the appointment for installation today, dropped the car off and said I'd be back early to mid afternoon to pick it up (they actually asked if I wanted to wait - said it would only be an hour or so)...this is key because I just called to confirm the car was ready and they told me THEY USED THE PART ON ANOTHER CAR and had ORDERED me another one. My car is now suppose to be ready at 5! And, they would not quote me the final cost, as requested. BUY AMERICAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pros: Sales Dept

Cons: Everything else!

No, sir. You don't want to go there unless you still have the factory warranty (I wouldn't even if I had a warranty). They are going to squeeze out your pocket all they possibly can for nothing. I have not one, but two episodes. First one was about replacing a remote key battery that I won't go in detail due to the review size limit here. You can check my yelp posting (yelp dot com). Here's my worst nightmare: I recently had a repair job on my passat (my daughter's accident) at A-Z auto (highly recommended in many review places). 4-5 months after the repair, my wife found that the heater was suddenly not working. She bluntly took it to Brookline VW (a habit from warrantied days). They say we needed to replace thermostat, waterpump, and timing belt, without any explanation. It was only after I did some search and asked them a specific question that they admitted the latter two is a maintenance job (100K maintenance by book, usually done at 80~90K miles, my car closing in on 80K). OK, go ahead. And they said, after taking apart the engine, something was wrong inside, blaming previous repair. Without going into much ado about the hassle (they estimated $2400 for the repair. beeping $2400!!!), I paid $400 for the labor up to that point (jerks!) and had the taken-apart car moved to A-Z auto. Only time will tell who was right, but the A-Z guys are saying there's nothing wrong with the engine. These guys are saying that I couldn't have driven the car or at least check engine light should have been on, had there really been the problem they were saying. Here's the killer. It turned out even the thermostat was OK. The heater problem was due to clogged heater core. For something a simple, high pressure flush could fix (A-Z did this part for free), we spent over $1000, with the car being held offroad for a month (still in the shop). I am looking for a way to either recoup my loss or at least file a complaint somewhere somehow.
