First Time/Last Time. I have never made a complaint online against a restaurant, but I had to about Ricks Cafe!

Last night I went to Ricks Cafe for the first time, I am originally from New York and recently moved here.It was recommended so I ordered 2 pizzas to go. I am a vegetarian and therefore do not eat meat so I ordered a Pineapple pizza and explicitly told the woman, not pineapple and ham...just pineapple. I watched her enter it into the computer right. 30 mins later after being told 10 mins, I left with my Pizza. When I got home and started eating it it tasted good. But when I got to the second half of the pizza I noticed I had eaten something that didn't taste right. So I spit it out and of course it was ham...all over the other half of my pizza.Now being a vegetarian, I have encountered these mishaps before. So I returned today to politely explain and ask for a refund. They got me the owner and when he came out and asked me what I needed already in a mean and miserable voice, I preceded to explain. Well long story short, he refused to give me my money back and threw the receipt back at me. I asked him his name and he told me he would have the cops called and have me taken out in cuffs then told me to get out of his restaurant.

I have never been spoken to like that before, especially by the owner of a RECOMMENDED restaurant! All I asked for was my money back, when if I really wanted to I could have made a scene or reported it. I feel as though this might be due to the fact I was a young woman who was alone...he felt he could speak to me that way!

Anyway, he was unprofessional and I plan on reporting him the the better business bureau among other websites etc. I will not be going there again and would warn people...the restaurant offers a great atmosphere and nice servers, but the owner himself does not know how to properly handle situations. Be careful if you have a complaint, especially if you are a woman and are alone.

Food was great/Service was just okay. They have a piano bar... I would like to go back for that. Discount tickets to the movies for $7 when it is over $10 next door. It is a cute place. The waitress seemed like she was in a hurry to get us out of there and that made it for a strange experience. We all liked our food, we had potato skins, steak tips and quesadilla. The potato skins were the largest skins I had ever seen, so, if you order them you are probably going to be taking some home!

GREAT PLACE. awesome food. great presentation. waitress was really nice and the food came out at good timing. they have discounted movie tickets for $7 for the movie's nextdoor. which is great because over there they are $10.75!!! piano player on thursdays-sundays and flat screen tv's everywhere to watch games. prices not bad. had steak tips and they were really good!! good place to bring kids too.
