Abington Depot“nice cozy feeling of an old train station.”
“Great waitstaff and good drinks.”
“The food terrible.”
“As we soon found out: the service is bad, quality of food is awful and manners of the staff are unacceptable in this day and age with so many restaurants to choose from.”
“The bartender was especially rude as we left the restaurant after we had just left a generous tip.”
BIRTHDAY. Today was my birthday and my girls wanted to take me to dinner. I always like to go to where your birthday dinner is free, (takes some of the expense for the kids paying)Had reservations @the ale house, but on the way we remembered the abington depot. So we stopped no waiting and was told birthday dinner free! Only after be seated and ordered, then were told birthday dinner only equal to sandwich. Well I guess I would'nt have ordered the $16.99 steak for my birthday! The waitress was as cold as a FISH!I'll never go there again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Avoid this place.
This place had become progressively worse over the past few years. Last visit was my final visit. The food terrible. I asked for a pizza well done and it came out practically raw. We were a party of five and none of us were happy with the food or service. It took over 20 minutes to just get drinks and the place was empty!
Unfortunately, this restaurant has a lot to offer. A nice cozy feeling of an old train station. As we soon found out: the service is bad, quality of food is awful and manners of the staff are unacceptable in this day and age with so many restaurants to choose from. The bartender was especially rude as we left the restaurant after we had just left a generous tip.
My advice is to skip this eatery and find a better place to dine.
Kudos to Sue and Kathy. We've been dining here since the place opened in the restored old train station. The food is consistently excellent and the fish is always fresh and well prepared. Bring your appetite or be prepared to leave with a doggie bag. Great waitstaff and good drinks. They also have the best barroom pizza on the south shore
