Country Club of Halifax. Played this course recently and found it to be a challenging and interesting track. The members seemed very friendly and the staff went out of their way to make it a great experience. There are some great deals on membership at this club and I intend to talk to the ownership this week about joining.

Don't play after it rains. I played the course recently four days after it rained and the course was still very wet. I talked with a member and he said the course does not drain well. The bunkers were in desperate need of sand. I didn't like the layout and it was a very flat course. I liked the pro shop and they had a good selection. The man in the pho shop was very friendly. The food in the resturant was very good, but the service was slow. The course did not have the feel of a priviate course.

Best Country Club on the South Shore. I cannot recommend this course enough. If you are looking for a place to play golf in big tournaments with a good group of members look no further. You can always find a game and will meet people of all golf levels and quickly find a group to play with. The 19th hole Sophias may be the most fun of all.

Friendly Place To Be!. If you want a Country Club Lifestyle at an Affordable Price, this is the place for you. Along with the best greens on the South Shore, CCofH allows you to get a game on a weekend morning without standing in the lines of public courses. The Head Pro Bob Guisti runs some great tournaments. The GM Joey Peck, and the Membership Director Karen Messina and their staff are all very friendly. If you live in the area and are looking for a course to call home. The Country Club of Halifax should be up at the top for consideration.

Best Golf Course on South Shore. I played last year. Simply put the best course on the South Shore. The course is in great shape. The holes are challenging yet fair, easily enjoyed by all skill levels. The greens are immaculate, fast and true. The thing I liked best is that you have an opportunity to use every club in the bag, and no two holes are alike. This is rare on the South Shore. The staff was courteous and helpful and the food at the clubhouse restaurant was really good. I would recommend to anyone.

Best Greens on the South Shore. This hidden gem is a challenging golf course nestled off of Route 106 in Halifax ma. After playing golf several times, and realizing it has the best greens on the south shore, I decided to join. Yes, it is a private course, but certainly affordable for the "working class". There is a great blend of members ranging from mid 20s to high 80s. The Country Club of Halifax's restaraunt Sophia's, offers great american cusine that really hits the spot after 18! If you want to join a challenging and prestine club, while not paying even close to a fortune, then Country club of Halifax is the place to go!

You Have To Try This Course. I have played golf all over the world at some of the best courses out there and the greens at Halifax blow them all away. They are fast and smooth and roll as true as if you were playing in the U.S. open. The course is also very challenging and has no throw away holes. I was thinking of joining the other private course in Kingston but I was hitting irons off the tee all day because the holes were so quirky, the same with Plymouth, at Halifax I felt like I was playing a championship course and the conditions were far superior to the other courses in the area and the dues were cheaper! If you are thinking of joining a private club in the area there is no better than The Country Club of Halifax.
