Got an aweful choppy blunt uneven haircut (like a 5 year old was let loose with scissors). Tried to have the stylist fix it, but basically after they tried to cut a couple pieces as I asked (and made it worse!!) gave up. Left in tears. Luckily got a very understanding, kind, stylist on the re-do who actually listened to what I wanted. Unfortunately though, she can't instantaneously grow back hair (which shouldn't have been cut in the first place). So, although it alleviated some of the ugliness, it didn't fix the problem. More specifically, the part of my hair that I had grown out, and was supposed to be let to grow out more was cut into what look like sideburns - horrendous. I get p-o'd looking in the mirror! Oh well, it'll grow back (again) but after going here for 2+ years, I don't think I'm going back.

Pros: Location

I wrote on Yelp after my first time with Vicki at Dellaria (August 2007). She is amazing. I went to her based on reviews I also read online. I wasn't taking any chances with a less-than-professional job. She walked me through it step by step, explaining what was going on as she worked. I was not uncomfortable holding my skin taut in different positions so she could get the best angle. This woman loves her job and is truly a star. She is beautiful inside and out, and was sensitive to the fact that I was nervous. It costs $60 at Dellaria to do the full Brazilian. Speaking of money: I was taken aback to find out that you can't add the tip onto your credit card slip. Yikes! Why do they do that? I didn't have any cash and was mortified. You might be unsure what to expect as for the process itself. She works pretty fast (a huge plus!) but you don't feel rushed. She uses the soft wax with paper strips which definitely hurts more than the hard wax that drys on and you peel off, but this wax gets more of the tiny hairs out -- a huge plus when it's all over and you're totally smooth. She is really sanitary (never reuses her popsicle stick applicator things -- no risk of infection -- and gives you a paper thong to wear). She presses her gloved hand down on each section after she waxes it which alleviates the pain considerably. Just take two Advils about 45 minutes before your appointment, you'll be fine. It was 25 minutes tops. I expected it to hurt a lot more. Don't get me wrong: it's not really a relaxing process, but it's not unbearable either. She gets leftover "stragglers" with tweezers which is also painful but she's a perfectionist and I like that. I went first thing in the morning because I feel cleaner right after my shower knowing she was going to be getting into my business. I've seen her probably 5 times since then and every time she does as well as the first. I can't speak about anyone else at Dellaria, but she is worth going to.

Pros: Vicki Graff is the best waxer

Cons: Tips have to be given in cash
