“Had a great experience with a $40 haircut, minimal attitude, great location”
“They consulted with me for every service, they offered me something to drink and a snack (because I was there for a "day of beauty") My hair color and cut is the best I have gotten by far --I use to go to Newbury street, but that street is more hype than ”
“Normally, I wouldn't go back to a place with this kind of air, but Sonia is so good, it doesn't even matter!”
“By far the best service I've had all year, they've won me over so, I'm going to get my haircut and colored there!”
great short haircut!. I just returned from my first visit at Giacomo--it was awesome! I have a short, structured bob and Tien, my stylist, did a fabulous job shaping and styling it. I was sent to this salon and this stylist by my sister and two of her friends. Tien is awesome! She was all business and put a lot of care into the cut, no rushing out the door here. I will def. be going back!
this is an upscale salon, right in the heart of kenmore square.
the stylists are really talented, and they only use products that are good for your hair (including coloring products).
very healthy and elegnt salon. a bit pricy though.
Always a satisfied customer.. When I first moved to the area, a friend recommended Giacomo and Rondi. Now, I have been a customer for several years and could not be a more satisfied customer. I can always find parking within a block or two, the service is impeccable, and the results keep me returning year after year! I get highlights and hair cuts with Chanel, and she is always professional and considerate. This salon has earned its positive reputation among locals, and remains a comfortable and unpretentious salon visit.
Best Manicure in Boston. I can't speak to the hair services, as I have never tried them. I do not like the work I see being done while I'm there. BUT, Lisa gives the BEST manicure I have ever had in Boston. I have tried all the "top" salons and she is the best. I hate the ambiance of this place; it's not relaxing as it should be; it's loud and the staff is very chit-chatty all the time, even talking about clients in front of the customers. But I'll still go to get the perfect manicure.
Best facial in Boston!. Giacomo and Rondi Salon is a great find! I had my first appointment last week and was treated like royalty. The staff is very friendly (not at all snobby) and professional. My facial with Rhonda was blissful. She is extremely knowledgeable and knew just how to treat my skin. I was glowing. She also did an incredibile job waxing my eyebrows. My overall experience was very relaxing. Great service. I am definitely a fan.
this is the place!!.
I have read other reviews and have to disagree with the last. I have been to this salon for the last year (plus), and have recommeded many of my friends and family and all have been pleased with their services. I have had waxing and facials with Rhonda, and I personally think she is a beautiful person, professional and fun. I have had all my body waxing done and she is very energetic and truthful. As for her little dog, I think she is simply adorable...her last dog of 15 years (Baci) has passed away last year, and I know that MANY clients as well as myself enjoyed seeing Baci and most likey have welcomed Bella. The salon is friendly and professional. I enjoy going there for all my services(colors with Chanel and cuts with Giacomo). they are extremely concerned with making sure you receive a proper consultation and they will give you their honest opinion. I espcially love that it is a family owend business.
I highly recommend this salon.
Extremely Unprofessional Staff. I have been going to G&R for about a year and a half for waxing and facials by Sonja. Unfortunately she left this past summer so I was passed onto Rhonda. I have been three times and I am done! She leaves wax on your body, is not the very gentle, and is not maticualous by any means. Worse than all of this is the fact that she makes you wait while she parades her toy dog around the salon. The last time I went, I sat and waited for her (she hadn't even arrived at work yet) for 15 minutes, when she finally came in she had her dog with her who she had to pet and show around for another 5 minutes, make a phone call on her cell phone in front of me, and then she actually realized I was waiting for her. She didn't even remember that I had been to her two times previous. She also brings that dog in the room with you-so wierd and unprofessional. lastly, I have heard that she is actually an owner (the Rondi portion). Way to set a good example. I will never go back there.
Chat it up with the oh-so-friendly staff; walk out with well-sculpted nails..
Rondi Nail Salon and Giacomo Hair Salon originally existed in separate buildings, before those locations were dismantled to make room for the new Commonwealth Hotel. Combined in a single unit just a few steps away from Barnes & Noble at Boston University, Rondi & Giacomo boasts a sleek, trendy setting (stark white walls, attendants dressed all in black) and a welcoming staff that stands in stark contrast to the snobby tone set at other salons.
BEST SERVICES WITH SMILES. I recently went into Giacomo & Rondi Salon by a recommendation of some friends who really enjoy the place. I had a highlight with Chanel, a cut with Giacomo, a facial and waxing with Rhonda and my nails done by Lisa. From person to person I was treated like family and taken care of professionally. They consulted with me for every service, they offered me something to drink and a snack (because I was there for a "day of beauty") My hair color and cut is the best I have gotten by far --I use to go to Newbury street, but that street is more hype than good service. Rhonda is extremely professional , my facial and waxing experience was relaxing, and I had the best manicure and pedicure ever!! Lisa really know her stuff. Staff is overall friendly and they even offer comlimentary makeup touch ups, hand massages and a neck and scalp massage!!! Definite place to be!!!
Manicure Massacre. I went in for a manicure and left with a big, bloody, gaping hole in my finger! Lack of skill and finess in removing cuticles was evident - watch out or you may leave with band-aids rather than polish!! Staff were friendly enough, but often ignored customers to talk and gossip with each other.
