“good 80's music, and you could eat a spinach pie off of the toilet seat its so clean!”
“pizza is good too!”
“went in to Little Stevie's one day during a very slow period.”
Pizza like home for this New Jersey boy. I just had lunch at Little Stevie's. Basically, it's nothing special inside, just a long counter and a bunch of standard pizza-shop tables. But the pizza was absolutely the best I've had yet in Boston. It's actually good, even by New Jersey standards (and we know pizza). It breaks my heart that in a city with a rich Italian heritage like Boston that you can't get decent pizza (Pizzeria Regina? Please....), and that a lot of places don't even sell it by the slice. I just got a new job by Prudential Center, and this is definitely worth the walk to get a couple of enormous slices that actually remind me of home. I'll be back.
Back Bay pizza joint is among the most popular spots--not that there's much competition--for a late-night bite in the city..
In Short
Best known as "that pizza place on Boylston St. that's open 'til 3am," Little Stevie's is a favorite of Back Bay boozehounds in desperate need of a late-night bite. The service is brusque and food quality is decidedly average, but because the slices are huge and cheap, no one seems to mind. A few old-school video games in back provide a bit of entertainment, and the unisex bathroom is not for the faint of heart.
The good, the bad, and the greasy. I've had the best pizza I've ever eaten in Boston here. But then, I've also had the absolute worst pizza I've ever eaten anywhere here. The place is a whole new level of Mom & Pop, run by close-knit friends/family (see also: Cappy's and Cappy's II).

I went in to Little Stevie's one day during a very slow period. I gave the woman (I think it was a woman) behind the counter my pre-requisite $1.75 for a slice, and handed me a plate with not one, but TWO slices of burnt, floppy, sogginess with most of the cheese off of it (must of left with previous slices?). I'm a master's student, which means I'm totally broke, and I couldn't even get through one slice. It's not like it's a value to give someone twice as much of something that would make a better doormat than a pizza, is it?
this place is like a carnival. what a cast of characters in this joint! avoid this place on weekend nites because of all "night @ the roxy" dorks. during the day have a slice of pizza made by felix just the day before, while watching the pizza guys gildo and freddy fight. weekday nites you might get lucky and see someone get dragged out of there. good 80's music, and you could eat a spinach pie off of the toilet seat its so clean! pizza is good too!
C-. this place was ultra-mediocre! there was NOTHING special about it, except that it's opened at late night. this place sux.
