Great food/beer. Very busy.. I've always enjoyed going to Boston Beer Works. The food is great and they have a huge selection of beers. The staff is friendly. The only downside is that it gets extremely busy there (even very late at night) and can be hard to find a table and can get a little slow.

Fried Pickles. Nuff said. Any place that's a microbrewery has a special place in my heart. I've gone to Boston Beer Works in every season to try their seasonal selections, and I have yet to be disappointed.

My favorite appetizer is the fried pickles. Doesn't get much better than a cold beer and fried pickles in my world. The food is good pub grub. The atmosphere is relaxed and the waitstaff is always friendly and speedy. Great place to hit before a game (if you can get a table) or before heading to a movie at the Regal Fenway theater down the street!

RIP OFF. I have been going to beer works for years now, i even buy their beer to take home. I have never had a bad experioence untiul yesterday. I went in after the sox game and some food. The food was great but they tried giving me a $150 tab when I wanted to pay. I let the bartender know that it was the wrong tab. She gave me my tab which was $45 and I paid it. Today I check my bank statement and noticed they charged a $165 tab to my card. When I called to let them know they were no help at all. They are going to research it and call me at the end of the day. I went to the bank and the tabs were run 30 seconds apart from each other. I seriously think this was done on purpose. Be careful when you leave a card for a tab, they have no clue hhow to keep that stuff organized.

Acclaimed beers, generous bar-food portions and a relaxed environment attract young, sports-enthused masses to Boston's oldest, most popular brewpub.. The Scene
Your experience at this original Beer Works depends on the time of year: Baseball season brings lengthy lines and standing-room crowds, but the huge, neo-industrial dining areas sport plenty of empty tables between November and March. Sox fans and college-aged beer connoisseurs enjoy an ever-changing assortment of 16 beers on tap--massive kettles produce award-winning brews, like the colorfully named Bambino and Bluebeery Ales. Service can be exceptionally rushed and distracted when the place is packed.

The Food
An epic menu ranges from healthy and nourishing (freshly made salads, grilled swordfish steaks) to fried and offbeat (sour cream and chive fries, fried pickles). Most patrons gravitate to shareable bar snacks like jumbo buffalo wings (bone-in or boneless) and beer-battered onion rings. Gigantic burgers require two hands, but the truly famished tackle steak tips or a pound of juicy, marinated turkey. Few have room for oversized desserts like the "Big Dig" brownie sundae.

Good homebrewed beer. I've gone here several times for lunch with folks from out of town. It's near where I live so that's our primary reason for going there. The beer selection is good and they have a lot of original homebrewed beer. The food is so-so. I'd recommend the pizza and quesadillas but not the burgers. Service has been ok, but not great. At least the food comes out quickly. This seems like a good place to watch the game, but not so much for a sit-down meal.
