What People Are Saying About Fenway Park
Featured Review

In Short – Just as Wrigley Field has its signature ivy, Fenway has the Green Monster, the famous 37-foot-high left-field wall that transforms lazy fly balls into home runs. Other legendary characteristics of this brick-faced stadium (opened in 1912) include one of the major league's last remaining manual scoreboards and unbelievably small seats. Sight lines vary from awesome (next to the dugout), to downright obstructed--especially around some spots in the grandstand.
Editor's Tips
- Parking:
- Don't even think about driving--take the T to Kenmore and follow the masses.
- Know Before You Go:
- A child is never too young for his or her first game, but be sure to make it a day game, and try to get seats in the alcohol-free grandstand sections (32 and 33).
- The Extras:
- Behind-the-scenes tours are offered hourly (Mon-Sat 9am-4pm; Sun noon-4pm), with hours varying on game days.

Once in a lifetime experience

The park makes it tough to actually see the game clearly so stick with the bleachers or roof box seats if you dont want a pole in your face. But everyone needs to experience at least one Red Sox game live

A day at Fenway Park is a great time. No matter where you are at in the park you can see everything going on in the game. The crowd is into it and it's a very family friendly place. It can be expensive for food and drinks so make sure you bring cash.
- Pros: fun time out, good food
- Cons: expensive, cash only
Duh, it's Fenway

A place all Sox fans have to visit
by jenheidir at Citysearch
For members of Sox Nation, as far as sports-watching experiences go, arguably nothing could compare to actually being able to see the team live in this historic green monster of a ballpark surrounded by thousands of other Sox-crazed fans. The beer is expensive, the seats aren?t always comfy and not all views of the game are great (especially from the outfield), but Fenway is home for Sox fans and nothing can match the electricity of being at the ballpark on game day? especially when the Yankees are in town.
