The Scene
A short hop from South Station, this converted warehouse may be the largest health club in town, certainly one of the most serious. Despite (or maybe because of) its strong commitment to "whole body fitness"--body and mind--it's a friendly place where people come to meet others, as well as better themselves.
The Workout
BAC offers the latest and most specialized workout equipment, as well as free weights, exercise classes, personal training, sauna, steam room, whirlpool and lap pool. True to its name, the club also features a host of athletic activities--tennis, basketball, racquetball, handball, squash--some with league play or partner-matching.

Insider Tips
The ExtrasAmenities that ease members' minds include everything from nutrition counseling and free towel service to baby-sitting, on-site dining options, a pro shop, salon and spa treatments, shuttle service to South Station or free parking for driving guests.

The BAC offers a variety of sports and group exercise classes to keep you in shape and enthused about it. It has the unique advantage of FREE parking and plenty of it, which is rare in this city. It also has wonderful services such as physical therapy, massage, restaurant, hair salon, etc. Check out their website. Also, the best personal trainer in Boston works here - TERRY WALSH. If you're looking to get in shape, stay in shape and be totally blown away by a wealth of knowledge and range of exercises, treat yourself to sessions with Terry. It will change your attitude and your life. The BAC is the best!

I have been going to this place fvor about a year and I love it. The staff is geat and friendly. Everything is always clean and there is anything that you could ask for in a gym, weights, treadmills, the pool, hottub...raquetball tennis and more...Plus there is a place to grab a drink or food with buddies after a workout. I definately recommend this place...it is worth the price tag!
Pros: good parking for city, clean, great staff
Cons: price
