Citysearch Editorial Review. This petite, yet comprehensively curated showroom sits on a quiet block of Fort Point, a South Boston neighborhood home to artists and designers galore. An outrageously enormous floor lamp anchors the industrial setting. Go in with a plan to navigate from dramatic glass-sphere cascades to a chandelier composed of Campari-filled bottles, or consult with the friendly on-site staff to strategize your ideal lighting options.

good experience. Contrary to the other reviews, I had a good experience with Chimera. I stopped by with my two year old daughter, which often makes high-end stores a touch nervous, but the staff was still very friendly with her and me. I asked about ordering a single, relatively inexpensive light, which I'm sure was very small order for them, but was not treated any less respect. The price, shipped to my door, was about the same as ordering it from a big online retailer's 15% off sale without shipping. I called back later in the day to place the order. They checked availability and called me back promptly within 10 minutes to confirm that the light would ship next day. I can't say they could have done anything better, service-wise.

hmmf, sounds like nothing has changed. The previous review answers my question. I had been to this store 6 or 7 years ago and had experienced the same problems with poor customer service and condescending salespeople. I was wondering if maybe they had learned to treat people better since the last time I was there. It sounds like they have not. The one reason I was considering going back to Chimera is because they did have interesting, up-to-date designs.

Worst in customer service and unfriendly lighting store. I had the worst experience I've ever had anywhere

in the world. To spend $3,000 on lighting and to not

even get helpful and necessary information on the stock

you buy...even if i had bought a $300 sconce I would

expect the store to be helpful and open to questions.

The salesperson was miserable and unfriendly and the

two managers were completely cold. You can go to any

store in NY or anywhere and not have attitude thrown at you.
