Nice views, crappy food and service. We were on the 3rd deck - smaller seating area and smaller buffet than on the other deck. They come around to your table and tell you when you can go up to the buffet. We were in about the middle for our deck and we didn't get called up until almost an hour into the cruise. It's only a two hour cruise. The food was terrible. Even the mashed potatoes were gross. My son ate rolls and butter only. We cruised on the family fun lunch on a Sunday afternoon but there was nothing family friendly for kids - no chicken fingers, no fries, no plain pasta. For dessert they bring you a dish with a slice of cheesecake and some chocolate covered ice cream thing. We received ours at the very end as we were tying up at the dock. Terrible timing. Wouldn't recommend it!…
going on a boat. Everyone living in the City has to go on the cruise at least once, it is one of those rights of passage. But, after returning to dock you see that it was expensive and the food wasn't good at all. but, regardless, you have to try it!…
What a GREAT time!.
True, sometimes reservation department experiences can be bad; however if you had cruised, you would have loved it! We had the opposite experience because we planned a small gathering for my
Anniversary, so we dealt with group sales and it was a seamless experience. And we had such a great time! The meal was a combination of a served meal (salad and dessert courses were served to you, along with drinks) and a buffet. The food was simple, but very, very good. The entertainment - I was told there was a "small performance" and it turned out to be quite a few songs sung by very talented young performers during dinner - very entertaining! Then, the DJ came on and played favorites from the likes of Bon Jovi to the Commodores - something for everyone. We danced the night away and took breaks to go outside and enjoy the beautiful night views of the city.
This was so much fun; I can't wait to go again!!…
Abysmal customer service.
I had to call the Reservation Desk on a few occasions and to be perfectly honest each time I got off the phone feeling like my IQ had singlehandedly been lowered 10 points. For a corporation that
would seem to cater to businesses and higher end clientele, I was surprised that they would have representatives who didn't seem to know what was going on...at all. In the end, I called the day before the cruise to confirm that the boat was still going out. The person I spoke with game me an unequivocal "yes!"...and then we arrived at the pier the next day to find that the cruise had been canceled because they hadn't sold enough tickets.
Speaking with the supervisors also left something to be desired (they told us we could take *another* cruise with *complimentary* tickets, even though we hadn't taken the cruise in the first place and they had already charged us for the tickets)
We opted to get a refund rather than rescheduling.
I have a lot of patience, but these people wore me thin.…
