Dick's Last Resort

This is the joint your mother warned you about

  • Check Out Our Party Pkgs
  • Live Music Every Night-No Cvr
  • Good times with Good People

We are now located in historic Quincy Market at Faneuil Hall Marketplace across from Orvis near "8 North Market" entrance.

The massive appeal of Dick's is hard to put your finger on. We don't know if it's the wacky tacky décor, the sometimes sassy service, or the bountiful buckets of fabulous food.

We do know the food's hot, the beer's cold and if the music's too loud you're too old. That's right, we're Dick's where it's fun for all, all in fun for all that dare to enter.

Check out our Party Pkgs-like the Bachelorette Party - For only $16.99 per person, your choice of 1/2 lb. Drunken Peel 'n Eat Shrimp, 1/2 Honey Roasted or BBQ Chicky, 1/2 Slab BBQ Pork Ribs, Chicky Caesar Salad, Roadhouse Chicky Salad, Mae West (2 lg. Chicky Breast).

Come to Dick's today.

Editorial Review for Dick's Last Resort – by Citysearch Staff

The Scene
One of Boston's preeminent dives, Dick's gets its fair share of raucous revelers--weekends often host numerous bachelorette parties. This reputation is in stark contrast to the tourists who stop in to take a break from shopping in the surrounding Quincy Market shops. While smart-alecky servers provide plenty of attitude, mismatched chairs and long, communal tables ensure a convivial atmosphere. Social singles populate the elevated bar area to imbibe cheap 32-ounce bottles of domestic beer.

The Food
The restaurant encourages diners to reconnect with their inner child: Crowd favorites like tender pork ribs and moist king crab legs are served in large steel buckets and utensils are discouraged. Bar patrons devour troughs of fries and chicken fingers while slurping down frozen Kahlua mudslides served in a take-home glass. For the timid, pasta dishes and salads--try the Roadhouse chicken salad with toasted almonds--are offered, but expect a wisecrack from your server.

overpriced beer, inedible food, terrible music, rude/moronic batenders - this place is not a dive bar, it's a tourist trap...

This is a fun, spacious, entertaining dive in the heart of Boston. Yes, the waiter is a "d-ck" to you throughout the meal, and I suggested we make a hat for him(!) that read "Hi, I'm your waiter, and I'm the biggest D-CK in the house!" -- meaning "butt-wipe a--hole" -- but, that's his job, and it's amusing. The fish and chips were great -- fresh fish, tasty chips. Good portions. Wash it down with some Corona and you're all set. Good live music, no cover charge. Meal and drinks ave about $22 with tip. If you want a relaxed atmosphere to unwind and see some wacky stuff going on -- like a table of girls doing "blo(!)-job shots" to a line of strangers (guys), this is the place. It's pretty funny. Glass windows all around help you feel connected to the city. Cheers.

Buckets of barbecue, giant beers and a rowdy atmosphere: This is where Boston's inhibitions come to die.  See the full editorial review.
