Recommend it to the people you "dislike".. Not the most favorable experience. I get the theme of being loud and obnoxious but I draw the line at being called an idiot. The meal was terrible, it would be nice to know what ingredients were in the meal I ordered but it's not provided on the menu. I was afraid to ask, might be called an imbecile. Thought I would play it safe with a steak salad but it had jalapeno peppers, which I despise, and they burned my mouth and totally ruined my taste buds for anything else. I would recommend this place to people I "dislike".

Boston's and possibly the world's worst food. Went to Dick's this afternoon. Sat down for a late lunch at 3:15. Received our food at 4:45. I had the fish platter. After taking a bite of the fried fish, my mouth filled with grease. That was it for me. I couldn't eat another bite. My spouse had the ribs, which were dry and not at all fall off the bone quality. Their prices are way out of line for the quality of their fare. This place is basically a tourist trap with lousy expensive food. Stay away at all costs.

Buckets of barbecue, giant beers and a rowdy atmosphere: This is where Boston's inhibitions come to die.. The Scene
One of Boston's preeminent dives, Dick's gets its fair share of raucous revelers--weekends often host numerous bachelorette parties. This reputation is in stark contrast to the tourists who stop in to take a break from shopping in the surrounding Quincy Market shops. While smart-alecky servers provide plenty of attitude, mismatched chairs and long, communal tables ensure a convivial atmosphere. Social singles populate the elevated bar area to imbibe cheap 32-ounce bottles of domestic beer.

The Food
The restaurant encourages diners to reconnect with their inner child: Crowd favorites like tender pork ribs and moist king crab legs are served in large steel buckets and utensils are discouraged. Bar patrons devour troughs of fries and chicken fingers while slurping down frozen Kahlua mudslides served in a take-home glass. Dishes for the timid are offered, but expect a wisecrack from your server.

Good fish n' chips and beer, comfortable and loose atmosphere; fun. This is a fun, spacious, entertaining dive in the heart of Boston. Yes, the waiter is a "d-ck" to you throughout the meal, and I suggested we make a hat for him(!) that read "Hi, I'm your waiter, and I'm the biggest D-CK in the house!" -- meaning "butt-wipe a--hole" -- but, that's his job, and it's amusing. The fish and chips were great -- fresh fish, tasty chips. Good portions. Wash it down with some Corona and you're all set. Good live music, no cover charge. Meal and drinks ave about $22 with tip. If you want a relaxed atmosphere to unwind and see some wacky stuff going on -- like a table of girls doing "blo(!)-job shots" to a line of strangers (guys), this is the place. It's pretty funny. Glass windows all around help you feel connected to the city. Cheers.
