In Short – Surrounded by the 5,800-acre Blue Hills Reservation, Houghton's Pond is a haven for trout and bass as well as a few Atlantic salmon. You can fish here from dawn until dusk in season. In winter, you'll have to pack up your gear and go elsewhere--there's no ice fishing. If you're not into fishing, just bring a beach chair and soak in the sun on the beach or take a cool dip in the water. – – –
