“They had a good manager about a year ago who started cleaning things up, but he left shortly after.”
“And if people really like the classes so much enough to pay for them go ahead, Because there expensive to give out for free, but we do.”
“have remained a member so long because they had a good group fitness program.”
Don't join it!. Don't join it unless you are sure you want to be a member FOREVER. My experience: when I visited the gym, no one ever mentioned a word that if you want to stop your membership within two years, you need to pay a termination fee about $200. All you hear is that $10 per month. I only found out when I moved out of Quincy and wanted to cancel the membership. I waited until my 2-year term was fulfilled and then I found SuperFitness does not provide any contact info to public to cancel the membership. All you can do is to send a CERTIFIED mail to cancel your membership. ARE YOU KIDDING? Even IRS only recommend tax payer to send certified mail. I did send a mail but they still kept charging me. The last thing I could do to protect my money was to cancel my credit card. You know what? SuperFitness sent me an email right away with a delinquent fee charge. It is so RIDICULOUS! Please note, they never disclosed any fee charge under client's awareness. SuperFitness is my worst shopping experience I ever have, truly! For someone really need to cancel your membership, here is their contact information when they asked for a fee. Email:office@teamsuperfitness?com, telephone: 617 328 3314 . I hope someday they could do business without cheating.
Superfitness stole from me. Superfitness in Quincy stole money from me. I requested they cancel my account and the insisted I pay to send a letter to them in addition to the several emails I sent them. I requested they not remove money from my checking account, they agreed and a week later took more money out of my checking account. Now they refuse to refund me. I will continue to post notices like this until they agree to refund the money they took from me.
Harassment. I probably would have entered into a membership with this gym. We went for the workplace fitness challenge and if I had known they were only in it for the membership I would have not have participated. I get voicemails all the time about membership for the gym and the challenge is not even over yet. Major turn off, The harassment for membership is uncalled for.
Super fitness.
It's the most Dirty gym I ever attend. All equipment is out to date. No a/c . Place smells like urine .
I was trying to cancel my membership even by e-mailing one way tickets to Russia to the Quincy office. But it was not accepted ( and I was moving more than 50 miles away!!!).
And my credit card was charged until I put dispute on their charges.
I don’t want to pay even 1cent for the place where I can not breath and work out .
HORRIBLE!!!!!
Lots of problems.
Most of the staff especially Dave is always friendly and helpful. There has been a major change since Jean and Antonio have taken over the cleaning. The place is spotless. Also if you need a trainer, Dwayne is the best.
Besides those staff members, the rest are not helpful, arrogant and basically blow you off if you have any questions.
Membership sales and deals are not consistent. You can sign up one day for one price and the next day you are paying more/less, one day a class is included in your membership, the next it isn't.
The machines are consistently broken. Its very hard to find the weight you looking for.
Overall its not somewhere I would recommend. I will be looking for another gym when my contract is up.
Great Place to Work Out. Front desk man Dave is great. Always helpful and friendly. Staff always willing to help, showers and locker room have been updated (get rid of useless hairdryers) Some machines do need updating, I never use the womens section because the machines are too outdated and freeweights are a mess, but overall I can always count on a great workout in the main gym. Longer hours on the weekend would be nice. Parking enforcement is probably my biggest pet peeve. Too many people park there that dont use the gym.
Fine for the money.
I know you can't complain about the machines not really since there are three or four sets of the same exact machines not to mention the hammer strength versions as well(besides machines don't really do much for men, so if your the metrosexual type I guess strictly using machines could help you haha j/k). There are a lot of useless ab machines up stairs, plenty of room on the treadmills, I think sometimes they slack a little on cleaning during slow hours but its not like im not going to take a shower after the gym anyways so not really a big deal to me(and yeah the bathrooms are falling apart the one true con). For the money its a fine gym yea sure it doesn't have a hot tub and a pool but get real. It's a lot better then the ymca free weight room, if you've ever been there you'd know what i mean.I wish they had a heavy bag somewhere down stairs though.
I've been there for quite a while so I felt like laying down some realistic criticism and not some story like I read when girls get trashed at bars and talk about how the bartenders boobs ruined the whole night for her and her bf or temp bf or whatever it is these days lol you all know what i mean here.
Letter from the President.

super fitness. This gym is a very cheap gym, but it is dirty, the people are unfriendly, half of the machines are broken, and most of the working machines are like 20 years old.... Make sure they don't take extra money out of your account. I discovered that this month they took the $29 which is the monthly fee out of my account and then took another 20 out of my account and when I called to find out what was goin on they told me to call the main office in Ohio. I then called the "main office" in Toledo, OH to get a recording... what a pain... I am cancelling my membership that I was already unhappy with... Bottom line -- SUPER FITNESS IS HORRIBLE!!
Go to Bayshore unless you're a meathead.
Hahaha, love reading these reviews. Rick, this is what people think of the gym. All the phony positive thoughts doesn't change it. Looks like the apple don't fall far from the tree.
Here's the scoop, its cheap if you don't mind a contract and don't want to be pampered. If you're one of those people who go for a month and want towel service, beat it.
Do yourself all a favor and check out Bayshore in Braintree. Its clean and the staff is friendly. They don't get paid strictly on memberships. Good for classes and equipment. There are a few minor issues but seriously go to one of the fancy 100 per month clubs if you actually care about those. You'll never be happy anywhere for 20-40 per month in that case.
