I just got back from dinner and I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious. I had a seafood stew with 5 different types of seafood and each was cooked to perfection. My husband and I each had and appetizer, entree, split a dessert, had a bottle and 1/2 of wine, and the bill came to 100 bucks. With top-notch food you don't expect such reasonable prices. The dessert was to die for - warm lava cake with divine rasberrry coulis and whipped cream. We will go back shortly.

Pros: plenty of parking, nice quiet ambience, romantic

Tivolis is the best - I still will never understand why it is so unknown. It is owned by the chef and staffed by his family. The primary waitress is a long-time friend. The food is delicious - absolutely mouthwatering. And the service is very friendly. Once you've been there a couple of times, they'll know you. As it is a small place, sometimes the service can seem slow - but you can actually watch as they prepare your meal from scratch in the open kitchen. If you're up for a relaxing evening, love phenominal French and/or Italian food, and want a reasonable bill (very reasonable prices - especially for the quality and types of food), visit this hole-in-the-wall in Malden. It's very nearby the T-stop.
