In 1985, at the young and ambitious age of 24, Steve DiFillippo purchased a locally-owned family restaurant called Davio's on Newbury
Street in Boston's trendy Back Bay. As Boston's culinary tastes evolved, he transformed the location into a destination. He retooled the menu, the space, the wine list. The new Davio's soon garnered rave reviews.
The idea behind Davio's Northern Italian Steakhouse was simple, regional Italian foods with a focus on the grill.
Everything made by hand from the best ingredients. Serve everything from aged steaks to simple-yet-unique pasta creations. Mirror this philosophy in the kitchen with our expert and attentive staff in the dining room, seeing to your every need and taking pride in your enjoyment of the meal. Steve has since opened locations in Foxborough, MA (Patriot Place), Philadelphia, and a new location in Atlanta. \t(508) 618-4101

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY.
for the price of this restaurant you would think that the wait staff wasn't so pushy and the food wasn't awful.
after looking over their overcharged past and steak, my wife and I ordered their philly rolls for an appetizer along with salads and main courses.
The philly rolls were frozen in the middle (I can make frozen food at home thank you very much)
My steak was over cooked and my wife's chicken was nearly raw
the salads were the only edible part. This was the second time i tried this resutrant and the for the first time check the review titles "unmitigated disaster" above
After all this i complained and the manager came out and argued with me about my meal and how i may or may not have ordered it. what ever happened to the costumer is always right????
Christmas Party Nightmare- will not return.
Last Wednesday night i took my office to their Christmas party at Davio's We arrived early and were seated at about 6:30 pm. Wine Steward was great made good recommendations and much wine was ordered. the server was attentive until it was time to order our meal. Then we waited and waited to be served. Tables that had come after us were being served and we were waiting. You would think a table of seven ordering lots of wine would be a potential big tip table and one to pay attention to it . The food came and it was over cooked or under cooked - I would have sent mine back but I just could not wait another hour to be fed. The desert was the same story we waited and waited to place an order then waited to be served. This is nuts since ther was nothing to prepare all the deserts are prepared ahead pick one and your done.
I had to get up and begin to leave inorder to get the check. Then I found out why the food and service was so bad the tip was 19% automatically so there was no incentive to provide good service or good food.
I put a note on the bill about the poor service expecting a manager to show . No one showed and noene has contacted me. No one cares in that place save your money there are better restaurants in the area that will do a good job. Davio's will not get any more of my business and I will tell everyone I know what a terrible time we had. NO stars for Davio's it was that bad.
Great Lunch Experience. Went for lunch. Attentive service, chopped salad was terrific, panini was very good. Atmosphere was relaxing. Highly recommended for an upscale lunch experience, even if you are in jeans. (split the salad with a friend at lunch-plenty for two with a sandwich)
Gameday disaster.. Unmitigated disaster! Avoid this place on game days at all cost. I brought my Father-in-Law to Davio's for his birthday before a Patriot's game. We arrived 30 minutes early for our reservation. They sat us shortly after our original reservation time. Unfortunately, however, after an hour and five minutes of waiting and asking about our dinner order, it never arrived! We left without eating. It was extremely frustrating, but even more embarrassing.
