What People Are Saying About Cambridge Antique Market

In Short – Counting its large basement, this East Cambridge warehouse boasts five stories of antiques from 150 dealers, each with individually numbered lots. The stock tends toward the charming, including Young Miss Magazines, dolls, lamps, paintings, dresses and sweaters Mr. Rogers might wear. If you're going to hit just one place in Greater Boston to look at small collectibles (watches, jewelry, household goods, paper ephemera), this is it.
Management fine, cool place!

I was researching space myself and actually had a very nice interaction with the manager there; he was friendly, patient and accommodating. The market as a whole definitely has a personality of it's own with a wide range of stalls/items ranging from not-so-fine to really fine antiques (and everything in between), which I think makes it really fun to browse and explore. There is truly something for everyone here. A very nice mid-century selection too. Charming and old-school, it's everything an antique market should be. I do not agree that the overall prices are too high... I bought a vintage (1960's) bag for 12 bucks! As a semi-seasoned collector I like this spot a lot.
- Pros: Example: best croissants in town
- Cons: What are the drawbacks?
POOR MANAGEMENT CAMBRIDGE ANTIQUE MARKET
by honestreviewforsure
I'm the wife that went to the Cambridge Antique market and my husband is absolutely right. The manager made me feel inferior and was very rude. I went with my sister and everyone working behind the counter were as rude as could be. I went in the morning and the woman told me there were no applications and that I'd have to speak with the manager. She did tell me there were two spaces available on the first floor so I decided to stay as I wanted a first floor space. I took a few hours to find some display racks and thought it was great for the dealers who would have made some money. It was a very slow day there. The sales people walking the floors were friendly and nice. However the staff working behind the desk couldn't have been any ruder. When the manager did arrive he was very snappy with me informing me that the empty spaces on the first floor were no longer available. He was willing to let me rent a space on the third floor or on the fourth floor. He had quite a high opinion of himself and was indeed very rude. There was no excuse for the way I was treated. I knew a few of the dealers from the auctions and must say I have always received much respect at the auctions. I don't know what his problem was but he acted quite superior with no basis whatsoever. I wouldn't recommend this market to anyone. Very poorly run and many of the spaces were dark , dirty, and dreary especially the spaces not on the first floor. Perhaps he'll read these reviews and will change his attitude the next time somebody inquires about renting a space. Shame on him and his nasty attitude.
- Pros: Parking Space
- Cons: Rude Disrespectful Manager
Something for Everyone!

The Cambridge Antique Market is 5 floors of endless possibilities! There is truly something for everyone. I have shopeed here for over 10 years and always find one-of-a-kind items. The merchandise is as nice as stores on Charlest Street, but with very reasonable prices.
- Pros: always new merchandise
- Cons: wish there was one night they were later than 6pm.
