great comfort food. If I'm not feeling so great, or it's really cold out, or I just need to feel full and healthy this place does the job. I get the miso with chinese vegetables and I just feel a little better everytime i'm done eating. This place has been doing it's thing (cash only) for 15 years. Love it.
A good ramen-ya in Boston. I really like Sapporo Ramen. I've been eating here for years. The service is pleasant and it's a nice spot for people watching. The bowls of ramen are served fast, hot, and tasty. The noodles are more al dente than I've had in other ramen shops, making them more springy, but it's fresh and delicious. I think some people will not like the broth, as it's not as rich in flavor as typical in other ramen-yas. I actually like both styles, but I can see others complaining. Of the broth choices, the miso broth is definitely the best here. The gyoza is particularly good here. The only thing I miss is the option for an egg. Food is not great and place is dirty. Food was OK, not fantastic. Worst part was that on my way out, I saw a rodent running around in the kitchen area. I know Boston is dirty but to have a rodent running in a restaurant in a mall is not acceptable!
Editorial Review. Diminutive noodle shop in Porter Exchange's Asian food court doles standout (and super cheap) bowls of Japanese and Korean soup.
