Great Sushi and Great Service! MUST TRY THE SCALLION PANCAKE. Wow, I really love this place. Interestingly they have a Japanese/Korean menu, which is a first for me. I have to say that their scallion pancake is quite amazing. It is a large pancake the size of a personal pizza from California Pizza Kitchen and it is lightly fried with seafood inside! Absolutely fantastic. The service was attentive and they have nice outdoor seating overlooking Mass Ave... Prices are very reasonable and it is great that they stay open so late.

It seems like they did not even know that we were there!. This place went downhill! At my last visit here my fiance and I were ignored right after we sat. The waitress took forever to come even after a few attempts to get her attention as well as the non-english speaking busboy teling her that we were ready to order

the food took an even long time to come.

our waters were never refilled.

when we finally asked for the check she did not even remember which guest we were! She was holding 2 checks in her hand and asked her which one was ours!

I seriously felt like walking out without paying. It would have taken her a week to realize that we were gone. next time i will stick to sushi stores that are more reliable (such as a certain one in boston)

Kaya House is no longer a place my fiance and I or any of our friends and family will dine.

Friendly service, decent sushi and creative Korean dishes save this affordable Mass Ave. eatery from its pedestrian decor.. In Short
Kaya's high-concept facade belies nothing of its unassuming, if neglected, interior. This standard Japanese/Korean and sushi joint stacks rows of bulky leatherette booths into a near-cavernous room, decorated with just enough bamboo to cast a peculiar tiki-lounge-turned-cafeteria vibe. Traditional Korean fare that seems frighteningly exotic to the unindoctrinated (tongue, heart and tripe) draws a large Asian crowd, while the sushi and modestly priced noodle and vegetarian dishes bring diners out for a fuss-free meal.

Great to eat LATE!. My boyfriend and I are regulars at Kaya, but often come in after midnight. The food is equally as good if not better that late at night, and the service is attentive and friendly; they never seem as though they'd rather be elsewhere. There is also a parking lot immediately behind the restaurant, which is definitely a plus when eating in Cambridge. Additionally, there are function rooms in the back for large parties.
