An oasis of affordable elegance in the midst of Central Square.. Sidney's Grille is an oasis of affordable elegance in the midst of Central Square. Located at MIT?s University Park in the upscale Le Meridien hotel, the restaurant features innovative new American cuisine. With its ultra-modern decor, high ceilings and beautiful bar with marble counter tops, Sidney's immediately makes diners feel pampered. And then there?s the delightful and well-presented dishes. Appetizers like the three-cod New England clam chowder and the seared sea scallops with lemon thyme sparkle. Favorite main courses include the mouth watering striped sea bass with sweet corn and leek ragout; the sesame crusted ahi tuna with gingered sweet potato; and Sidney?s strip steak with roasted garlic. A little off the beaten path, Sidney's Grille is truly a hidden gem that is one of the best kept secrets in Cambridge.…
Excellent Thanksgiving dinner 2007. We visit our student daughter for Thanksgiving and this is a great place for dinner. Excellent quality and not over priced like so many places on Thanksgiving.
MUST VISIT RESTAURANT.. The restaurant definitely has its own charm in the town.We visited yesterday for easter and it was one of the most pleasant experiences we had. The server was attentive and made sure my table always stayed upto date. The Brunch was just superb, both the food and its presentation. Then finally while leaving the manager helped us locate a cab & also printed me directions to the neighbouring malls. The restaurant was well lit up and lively with some fun music. I feel its defintely worth making your way to Cambridge. We had a wonderful time !!!…
Food was just ok.
My brother wanted to take me out to dinner for my birthday, and I picked Sidney's grill because it's near our house and it is rated as having the "best salad" on citysearch site. The dining room was
very nice. On this thursday night, however, at 8:30 we were the only guest in the huge dining room. I am not sure if it is because they are not attracting many people or it is because this was the Christmas weekend.
The food.. It was really not all that impressive. The chowder was good. The rock shrimp was too salty and the scallop was not very special. Lamb top.. terrible dish. There was no Wow factor in this dish. Not flavorful enough. Overcooked. Messy plating. I would not recommand this restaurant. The service was also just average.…
Great appetizers!!!. Sidney's was recomended to me by a friend of mine. My husband and I had dinner on a Saturday night and were pleased to discover that the restaurant wasn't overcrowded or too loud. The room is stunning and modern - very high ceilings. The coctail list and wine list were interesting and had a good variety. We had the scallop and avocado appetizer which was AMAZING! The seabass and the ribeye were also excellent. We didn't have room for dessert - will have to come back again. Our server Wagner was extremely professional and gracious and didn't miss a thing. The meal was moderately priced and still a bargain. I highly recomend it!!!…
