Editorial Review for Sidney's Grille – by Citysearch Staff
In Short
Hungry hotel guests decline nearby Central Square's numerous offerings and instead decamp to Sidney's airy dining room. Sights and smells emanate from the exposed kitchen. While an in-house smoker and applewood grill produce meat dishes, fresh fish is also given its due (poached halibut is served with artichokes, nicoise olives and sun-dried peppers). Homemade desserts include mocha crunch cake and a cinnamon gelato pretzel pie.

The restaurant definitely has its own charm in the town.We visited yesterday for easter and it was one of the most pleasant experiences we had. The server was attentive and made sure my table always stayed upto date. The Brunch was just superb, both the food and its presentation. Then finally while leaving the manager helped us locate a cab & also printed me directions to the neighbouring malls. The restaurant was well lit up and lively with some fun music. I feel its defintely worth making your way to Cambridge. We had a wonderful time !!!

My brother wanted to take me out to dinner for my birthday, and I picked Sidney's grill because it's near our house and it is rated as having the "best salad" on citysearch site. The dining room was very nice. On this thursday night, however, at 8:30 we were the only guest in the huge dining room. I am not sure if it is because they are not attracting many people or it is because this was the Christmas weekend. The food.. It was really not all that impressive. The chowder was good. The rock shrimp was too salty and the scallop was not very special. Lamb top.. terrible dish. There was no Wow factor in this dish. Not flavorful enough. Overcooked. Messy plating. I would not recommand this restaurant. The service was also just average.
Pros: Ambience
Cons: Food
