Editorial Review for Casa Portugal – by Gerrish Lopez
The oldest Portuguese restaurant in Boston, Casa Portugal features a wealth of traditional and innovative dishes. Rustic, authentic, and unpretentious, many diners come to the restaurant in large groups ready to share. The hearty menu includes large portions of authentic dishes such as carne de porco a alentejana (pork and clams), camaro grelhado (grilled shrimp), bife a portugusa (steak with an egg on top), and a variety of stews and paella-like dishes. Friendly waitstaff can assist with selections of native wines. Portuguese favorites such as flan, arroz dolce, and natas de céu complete the meal.

Made a second trip her and decided to highly recommend it. The portions here are large, the wine list strong but inexpensive and most importantly, the food is very good and fresh. Arroz valenciana, the prosciutto plate and any meat dishes are highly recommended. The flan is incredible. It's well worth a trip for a casual group dinner. DEFINITELY make a reservation on the weekend. We've noticed a lot of people don't do it and end up waiting.
Pros: Fresh, authentic food, Large Portions, Great Value
