“Delicious food and wonderful atmosphere.”
“liked the fried plantains and the special of the day, lemon fish cakes.”
“The raw bar is awesome.”
“East Coast Grill is known for their incredible raw bar, but don't forget about their equally as good bbq options.”
“For seafood lovers, mouthwatering selections include the grilled jerk-rubbed salmon with banana-guava; grilled coriander-crusted swordfish; and white pepper-crusted tuna with spicy bok choy salad.”
“East Coast Grill is my favorite restaurant.”
“But when I thought about my $80 spent for two people, I honestly careless if the atmosphere is good or the service is superb.”
“However, there was a long wait, the service was slow, and the grilled shrimp were overcooked or had sat around waiting too long, so they were really disappointing given the price.”
“After a long day sightseeing we were looking for a nice, but casual restaurant.”View Less

Why don't I come here more often?.
Located in Inman Square, this laid back spot offers some of the finest grilled seafood and BBQ in the area. While the food is almost no-frills, the slightly above average cost translates into
impeccably prepared simple food. Another sign of quality, Chris Schlesinger, the chef/owner, is almost always there.
Last time I went was for Bob Marley's birthday celebration. The regular menu was supplemented with a few Jamaican specialties like salt cod fritters, and a "ganja-smoked"-steak. The steak was, seriously, one of the best steaks I've had in Boston. The homemade hot sauce (real inner beauty) is outta control tasty, and will set your head on fire (try the wings). The best part is that everything on the plate is delicious. Leave no slaw untouched!…
Foodie Fun! Hell nights!.
East Coast Grill, more than anything, is fun. And not cheesy fun, but awesome foodie fun. From the BBQ-shack meets funky diner meets upscale bar atmosphere to the pint-sized giant margaritas to the
$13 "kitchen appreciation special" of 6 PBR tallboys destined for a cheering group of chefs, East Coast Grill delivers.
I've been here for both regular meals and last night for the infamous Hell Night, and in either case it's been really fun stuff. Hell night sees the restuarant all decked out with caution tape, the waitstaff clad in leather and bandanas, and the open kitchen filled with chefs wearing surgical masks. And it's not like you get the sense these people are grudgingly decking themselves out with "flair," as you might expect, but that everyone on staff there is really just out to have (and to show you) a good time with some great grub.
The food isn't superlative, but it's pretty damn good - I think the thing that stands out the most for me is the raw bar -- fresh, tasty oysters and clams, and great shrimp. If you go, check out the raw bar platter which is about the perfect size for a two-person app. Mmm..…
Everything on my plate is delicious. This place is great i am always satisfied. They also have the best oysters around. It is crowded with yuppies, but I guess that is what happens when you serve such tasty food.
Great vibe, unbelievable food. The food is consistently superlative, tasty without being too fancy, bold use of spice, always slightly on the edge. What sends East Coast Grill over the top is the staff and the feeling of personal warmth in the restaurant.…
