Great Pizza! – Nothing to say other than fantastic pizza. Eat it up. Enjoy it. Nothing else to say, so please, machine don't make me type more.
Amazing pizza – great pizza and awesome place to go
if you don't have cash and aren't sure where to find an atm, there is one across the street in sarah's market
Excellent tasty hot sauce and cheese and crust – We return to Armando's even though it is not the closest good pizza joint, because it is so outstanding. Perfectly cooked thin crust pizza with flavorful sauce and toppings. Order ahead, go there, and eat it at the (busy noisy) store, which has a few small booths, while its hot.
Yummy Pizza – Yummers : ) Im from Philly so im used to good pizza......I was pleasantly surprised. I noticed a lot of reviews complaining about thier lack of delivery service but it is worth the drive
Excellent pizza for people who appreciate simple food at reasonable prices. – The Scene
All day long there's seemingly a steady line of customers at this West Cambridge pizza shop. The crust is freshly made, thin and crisp. The sauce is light and slightly sweet with just a hint of oregano. Toppings never overpower the other ingredients.
Submarine sandwiches are overstuffed on a soft roll. (Try the eggs and pepper--and ask for a slice of melted cheese on top.) The pasta in the ziti plates is slightly overcooked, but the portions are huge; choose between meatball, veal or chicken Parmesan, sausage or eggplant. Homemade lasagna is filled with ricotta and smothered in tomato sauce. The pasta e fagioli soup is loaded with vegetables. Most of the business is takeout, but there are six booths where you can devour a slice and peruse the "Milky Way in (interstellar) Molecular Clouds" poster on the wall.
Excellent – Forget the fancier artichoke and goat cheese pizza places (Emma, I'm looking at you) - go to Armando's for terrific basic pies. The cheese is generous and drippy, there's grease (no, don't wipe it off) on top and a good crust. And the slices are large.
By the way, the picture on the wall of the street in Italy is actually the street where Armando grew up. So they say, anyway.
the best pizza in town – armando's is a brilliant pizza joint. it's just as good as, if not better than, pizza i've had in new york city's little italy. the pile on the toppings, and the slices are huge!
dmccaffrey – After reading your top ten pizza places in the Boston area I can't believe you omitted Armando's Pizza on Huron Ave. in Cambridge. Ask any native Catabrigian and they'll tell you that for over thirty years Armando's is #1.
Best hometown Pizza Shop – Always a friendly hello from Armando. His pizza is what I crave when I get the munchies. No matter what kind of thin crust Pizza you like, you'll find it there.
Neapolitan at its best.. – Armando's Pizzeria is in a class by itself: A neighborhood joint, family run, thin-crust, New York-style, melt in your mouth, delicious pizza. A true test of a great pizza pie is not how many toppings are offered, or the rarest ingredients that are available, but rather if a plain, cheese pizza can stand on its own. And Armando's delivers. The best pizza in Boston is not dished up at some hoity-toity palace, but at a an out-of-the-way, authentic institution with plastic booths.
