Karaoke Mondays At Fire and Ice Harvard Square rock!. My friend and I stopped in Monday night for dinner at Fire and Ice, Harvard Square. While we were eating our dinner, we noticed a new room in which they were doing karaoke. Looking through the glass windows we also noticed that there was a giant screen behind the singers projecting the lyrics form the song. After we finished dinner, we went into the new room to check it out. The karaoke host had an incredible selection of music. Over 30,000 songs to pick from! I couldn't believe that they had the latest songs such as "Party Rock Anthem" by LMFAO and "Blow" by Ke$ha. The karaoke host was very nice, polite, and got us up very quickly to sing. As I was singing, I noticed I could see myself on the TV across the room. As I sang my song I sounded incredible through the sound system, unlike a lot of places that we've been to for karaoke before. The audience consisted of young college students from the Boston area. There were a lot of students from Harvard and MIT who cheered every singer as they got up to sing their song. This new room at Fire and Ice is big! I highly recommend people to come out to eat and sing some karaoke on Monday nights!…
Tuesday Night at Fire and Ice karaoke rocks!. My friend and I stopped in Tuesday night for dinner at Fire and Ice, Harvard Square. While we were eating our dinner, we noticed a new room in which they were doing karaoke. Looking through the glass windows we also noticed that there was a giant screen behind the singers projecting the lyrics from the song. After we finished dinner, we went into the new room. The karaoke host had an incredible selection of music. Over 30,000 songs to pick from! I couldn't believe that they even had the latest Lady Gaga, Ke$ha, and Eminem songs. Along with my favorite song Dynamite by Taio Cruz. The karaoke host was very nice, polite, and got us up very quickly to sing. As I was singing, I noticed I could see myself on the TV across the room. As I sang my song I sounded incredible through the sound system, unlike a lot of places we've been to for karaoke before. The audience consisted of young college students from the Boston area. Mainly Harvard and MIT who cheered every singer along as they sang. People were also dancing to certain songs as people were singing them. This new room at Fire and Ice is big. I highly recommend people come out to eat and sing some karaoke on Tuesday nights!…
Always a fun night!. I'm not sure what these other reviews are talking about--I have always greatly enjoyed my experiences at Fire and Ice! You fill up a bowl with veggies, pick some meats, some noodles-- (rice noodles, egg noodles, etc,) and a sauce, and the chef cooks it up! Super Trendy, and fun for a night out w/ friends. The ONLY thing I would watch out for is the sauce combo you pick for yourself, b/c if you pick a sauce you dont like, well then of course you're not going to enjoy your dinner! The service though is fine! Not the most attentive, but probably average. But then, like I said, I go there to catch up with friends and enjoy myself, not to rush in and rush out!!…
Awful Customer Service. The atmosphere was average but the service ruined the experience for me. The staff was incredibly rude and the managment did nothing to compensate for our groups awful experience. The server had an awful attitude toward my table and rolled her eyes when we asked her to do something as simple as fill our water glasses. She didn't even have to bring us our meals or take our order as it is a self serve type restaurant but apparently asking for water is asking too much. It was decently expensive, $20 for a plate, and I did not get my moneys worth. I left incredibly unsatisfied and disappointed. I was appauled at the service here and because of it I will never go back or reccommend this restaurant to anyone.…
Don't be fooled by the gimmick.. This place is all just hype. I went here for brunch some time ago with a group of girlfriends. It was fun at first picking out ingredients and sauces, etc. But the food tasted really bland and boring. There's only so much you can do with the limited ingredients you're given and then the chef just throws it on a big hotplate and that's that. It's a fun idea for a restaurant, but the bottom line is - the food has to be good. It simply isn't here. On top of that, this place charges waaaayyy too much for the bland food and theatrical nonsense. I left Fire and Ice thinking, "I could have made this at home and it would've tasted much better for a lot less money." Take your $20 and go to a Japanese steakhouse instead. The food there has flavor and those guys know how to wield a knife :)…
