Tanjore is wonderful!.
Tanjore received the Best of Boston 2003. I can see why.
It is the best indian restaurant I have ever eaten at. I have tried many indian restaurants in the cambridge, boston area. But this tops the cake.
The atmosphere is simple but the food is delicious. The food is clean and fresh. Not oily! No dish is too overseasoned.
Everything is favorful. The food does not taste like it has been sitting under a heat lamp for hours.
Tanjore offers both northern and southern indian dishes. They offer a good mix. They even offer dishes that are often made in indian households.
I really like their complimentary yellow lentil soup that accompanies the entrees. The soup is amazing. Perfectly blended with spices.
Overall I give Tanjore a 9. 10 for food and 9 for service.
