Editorial Review for Tess – by Jillian Dudek
The Scene
Tess is nothing like the usual shopping experience--there are no fancy mannequins or clothing displays, just stark walls and sporadically placed racks and shelves.
The Goods
An array of designer styles such as Biella Callezioni, Piazza Sempione, and Dolce & Gabana. Everything is unique and luxurious, but also expensive: Heavenly cashmere pants by Aquah cost about $445, and precious Luna J. beaded tanks just under $200. It's perfect if you're looking for a special addition to your wardrobe, whether it's a cocktail dress, a skirt and jacket ensemble, or a comfy sweater. Try on one of Dosa's silk pieces (the colors resemble rainbow sherbet), or bundle up in an Etro Milano coat. Don't overlook Tess' ornaments, like scarves, clips and headbands. Pull your hair back with a headband from French designer Beatrice Lissague. The small shoe collection features all styles, from sandals to sneakers.

The service was absolutely rude and horrible. I didn't find anything remotely interesting. Overpriced, lousy selection. Don't waste your time here!
Cons: Rude service and bad selection. Don't waste your time!

Fashion without fad...this is why Italian woman look great even at the grocery store. Everything Tess buys is timeless yet fashionable...classic but with an edge. No comparison to Louis..which stocks fads...one season and you're out...
Pros: Great selection of European designers you won't find elsewhere
Cons: a bit pricey
