The Scene
An independently owned store that has looked after the minds, bodies, and souls of locals since 1974. Cambridge Naturals offers natural products such as Burt Bee's, Megafood, and Source Naturals. The store is graciously divided into four sections--Vitamins, Bodycare, Herbs, and Bodyworks--and its staff is always willing to help those whose idea of healthy usually consists of drinking light beer.
The Goods
Local business are represented, with food from Oxford Spa and Sant's Natural Vegetarian Foods. Jars of bulk herbs and spices allow customers to mix their own incense and herbal teas, as well as, according to a sign, "blend aromatic herbs to fill dream pillows!" In addition, cosmetics, pilates mats, candles--even condoms--are found in stock. The selection of vitamins is the real draw--it's like a candy store for the health nuts.
