Homeless so not eligible. I could not sign up until I was 62 but I had to leave my home of 22 years because I had lost my job. I was "rent burdened" when I filled out application June 24, 2011. Covenant House contacted me in September 2011 and, because I was homeless and no longer "rent burdened", I was of no priority and put on a three-year waiting list. Those are the RULES and God knows RULES are more important than the Individual. So I have worked all my adult life 2-3 jobs but I'm homeless now but of no priority. Am I angry senior? You bet.
