Clean, great decor, great food and drinks. I was in the Boyne this weekend, it is newly renovated and it blew me away, it has always been a great neighbour bar but now it looks like a downtown bar but much better. No crazy prices
Good for late night drinking.
One of the few Irish dive bars in the area that opens until 2am. Dinner is served before 9 or 10pm. Decent selection of liquors and cheap beers. One functional dartboard, no pool table, poor lighting, and out-of-date TVs make up a somewhat bleak ambiance. But the staff are very friendly once you become a regular, and they do keep the joint clean.
Most nights are very quiet. Having a DJ on Friday and Saturday nights can attract a local crowd. The dance floor has borne witness to drunken 'hotties' flashing and grinding on multiple occassions.
The Boyne experience is that of blue collar Boston, sleazey townie hookups, and of course, bottomless cheap drinking...
