Great place if you just want some good o'l fasion Thai food. Bamboo Thai Restaurant on Commonwealth Ave in Brighton is small and cozy, although the location is not the most convenient but the food makes it totally worth while. They offer traditional thai dishes and a few of their own original fusion Thai creations. When my friend and I went on a Thursday night, the place was pretty bustling but the wait was not too long. I've a huge fan of small dishes, so we ordered a few appetizers- the Tod mun (Thai fish & shrimp cakes with curry and kaffir lime leaves, served with peanut - cucumber sauce) was moist and perfectly seared, the sauce was creamy and light. They offer a huge selection of Pad Thai, we tried the Radna Noodle- the noodles were perfectly cooked with fresh veggies and seafood. The high point of the meal was the Crispy Tamarind duck, it wasn't overly fatty and it was crispy and tangy. Overall, a good experience and great place to go on a date.

fantastic food, romantic, ambient, great service, wonderful experience overall. This place has some of the best Thai food I have ever had. Huge chunks of chicken in the tom kha gai soup, and even the bamboo soup is incredible. Everything I've ever eaten there is amazing. The only downside is that when the staff members aren't serving or bussing, they tend to watch the customers they do have, and that made me a little uncomfortable. And the huge drape in front of the door, I'm not sure what that's for. Either way, Bamboo is one of the two best Thai places in Boston (the other being Island Hopper, which is a bit more ritzy and expensive).

a regular haunt. I live nearby, so what could be better? Honestly, you just don't get too many places like this. The vegetables are always fresh, which is oh so important in these parts; that helps make the quality of the food consistent and good. Beyond dependable Pad Thai, try the curries, the drunken noodle, or just a simple salad and bamboo soup. Service is always friendly. Parking is hard but if you know the spots or can do take-out, it's not too bad. The lunch deals are excellent and deserve a mention as well.

Brighton Thai restaurant's fresh fare and affordable prices keep area students and residents coming back for more.. In Short
Housed along a highly residential stretch of Comm. Ave., Bamboo is located within walking distance of hundreds of budget-minded students and young professionals. It's a good thing, then, that the eatery churns out large portions of reasonably-priced noodle and rice dishes. The surprisingly modern interior is awash in bold colors and modern accoutrements. Beyond the expected pad Thai and fried appetizers, the menu contains items like steamed lemongrass mussels and curry duck.

First Visit. First visit after passing by for weeks. Parking is impossible so as you go in, ask for a free parking permit for the bank lot around the corner. They have a deal worked out so you don't get towed. Casual and spotless clean colorful setting. Dress is jeans to jacket and tie. We had Country Chicken and Crispy Pad Thai. Very nicely presented and delicious. I am ready to return to try other selections on the large menu. Highly recommend.

Friendly and Tasty. Upon entering Bamboo, I was delighted by the brightly colored paintings and place settings and the pleasant service. I started with the spicy papaya salad and it was incredible. The dishes that followed were also excellent. The service was wonderful and the dishes were moderately priced. It was so nice to be in a restaurant that was so pleasant all around...from the ambiance to the food to the smile I received upon walking out the door. A perfect place for a Thai experience.

Nice student eat. I would describe this as a nice student eat, accessible by the T.

They have a decent enough range. The curries are recommened but everything comes with lot of veggies and very little sauce(which explains the spice)

Some Thai beers are available.

Appetizers aplenty but short on desserts.

Great food - low price. I was very happy with the relatively low price for an excellent meal. The "create your own" noodle dish option was great (I recommend the spicey basil sauce).

So good, so close. The food was delicious. You are given a choice of several rices and noodles to go with your meal. The service was great as well. Very pleasant and efficient without breathing down your neck.
