Editorial Review for Whole Foods Market – by Citysearch Staff

In Short
Whole Foods is a vegetarian's dream grocery store, with a focus on natural and organic goods and a gargantuan selection of fruits, vegetables and vegan products. But carnivores won't feel neglected, as stores also boast a vast selection of top-quality meats, poultry and fish. Also expect fresh-baked goods, housewares, a floral department and a well-stocked vitamin and personal-product section. Deli offers hot and cold prepared foods and artisanal cheeses.

this used to be a great place when Bread & Circus owned it. Now it is only fair and worse, today I purchased peeled and deveined shrimp from their fish counter and when the package was unwrapped, it contained a DEAD FLY!!! I wouldn't complain, but about 6 months ago, I complained to the management that there were flies flying around the fish a and landing on the fresh fish. I WILL NOT SHOP THERE AGAIN!

Pros: some organic veggies look ok

Cons: fish counter has flies; products are now mostly Whole Foods brands, no special stuff anymore

Always on the lookout for a good place to bring the kids to eat on the run, someplace other than fast food, we go to B & C. The chicken wings are the best and are my kids' favorite dinner. There is in some stores a place to sit and eat. The store near our home has many tables, and a kiddie corner with wall mounted and table top toys. Every one gets something delicious to eat and the children are happy! Hooray for Bread and Circus! PS: Get your rotisserie chickens there! They're free range! Tasty!

Pros: Natural and Organic, Inspired preparation, Good Value

Cons: Closes early, Sometimes sold out, Pricier
