I needed a place to get an inspection and figured this was close by. I waited the 1/2 hour for the inspection. I spoke to the owners and they seemed nice. After the inspection, the guy said my tires were old but that was it. He said he could replace them for $70 a tire, but I declined and drove off, thinking that I passed. The guy did not give me any inspection report. Later I realized that I failed the inspection. I went back to the gas station and asked why. He said my tires were worn. After a long discussion, he finally agreed to give me the inspection report which passed on every point except "TIRES - VISUAL". Again he reiterated that I should get my tires changed there for $280 - all four tires needed to be changed. My tires never went flat, and I have religiously gone to Jiffy Lube every 3,000 miles to have them inflate/look at the tires and no one has ever indicated I had any problem. The fact that he failed to give me the ridiculous inspection report (failure because of one person's subjective visual judgement) just shows how these people will do anything to make a buck off of you. Lastly, the sign says the inspection is $29, but they actually charge you $35 after they fail you - and they will always fail you.

Honestly if I could give this gas station less than one star I would. This place is so scummy I have stopped going to get my gas there, and want to warn people of the possibilty of getting taken advantage of....Heres my situation which I hope would deter any smart person from ever stopping here... I got my car FULLY serviced at a respectable auto dealer. They didnt do sticker inspections, so I took it to my local gas station (Commonwealth Gulf). The owner Paul said I had major exhaust problem, and it would be very expensive, but he will "hook me up" because he knows I bought gas there a bunch. I decided to get a second opinion so I took it to TWO auto service places, both said I had ZERO problems with my exhaust, and that there was no doubt Paul was trying to scam me. The scam was so absurb, one man from an auto service place said "never bring it to gas stations to get your car fixed. They dont know there [butt] from a tire." To wrap it up, I brought it back into Commonwealth Gas (so i didnt have to pay an extra amount for the sticker), and told Paul everything was all fixed up (when indeed nothing had been changed at all). And what do you know...everything PASSED. So much for that very expensive exhaust pipe...
