The Scene – The Kells is the biggest and splashiest of Allston-Brighton's many Irish bars, with performance spaces and music both upstairs and down. Its stately mahogany decor gives it an old-world feel, even when it's packed with boisterous undergrads. worst. ever.

It's like a frat party with a cover charge. I strongly suspect they watered my beer. It's more or less the most horrifying frat bar in Allston, which is a highly competitive position. Don't be friends with people that go here, they like Dave Mathews.

  • Pros: none
  • Cons: it's like an apple bees meets a frat party- with a cover

Always a good time

by pinkxg1rl

Doesn't matter what day I go, it's always fun. Great diverse college crowd, always great music and drinks are fairly priced. The dance floor is a good size and there is another one downstairs if the top one gets crowded. Cheap admission, i think ladies usually get in free before a certain time. My favorite no fail bar!

  • Pros: good music, good crowd
  • Cons: none really
