Editorial Review for Sports Depot – by Eric Grossman
The Scene
With more than 50 flat-screen plasma TVs, including several high-definition behemoths, the Depot serves as a mecca for area sports fans. Thanks to multiple satellite packages, just about every sporting event, both professional and collegiate, are shown live, much to the delight of the many alumni clubs that congregate at the bar. Those needing a break from the action can take a seat outside on the quiet patio. Friendly servers deliver pints of microbrews and colorful tropical drinks from the well-stocked bar.
The Food
Befitting a prototypical sports bar, the Depot serves up almost every appetizer under the sun, from fried oysters to creamy spinach dip. Patrons looking to stay in game shape opt for fresh salads or broiled fish dishes, while those needing a bit more sustenance stick to lineman-approved steaks and heaping piles of marinated turkey tips. Fried cheesecake and chocolate pudding cake provide one last caloric burst.

Came in on Saturday night for the first time after I heard I could go there to watch the Cotto v. Gomez boxing match. I was amazed at the amount of tv's. There had to be well over 50 of them throughout the restaurant, with every sport imaginable. I wasn't very interested in the Angels baseball game, but interesting they had it none the less. I had a warm welcome at the front door upon entrance, and the service was good. Not fine dining service but what you would expect from a Sports Bar. The vibrant young lady was very attentative despite the restaurant slowing down after the BC Hockey game. The menu was a tad overwhelming, with so many choices, but I had already eaten hours ago, so I opted for something to munch on with my buddy while we had a couple drinks. We got the loaded nachos which were great because they layered the cheese between the chips so you don't end up with plain tortilla chips after eating off the top. BRILLIANT!!!! Finally, a cook who knows what he is doing. The crowd was very mixed, but it is obviously the place to be if you are in any way a sports fan. I will be back for the next fight, this time with an empty stomach so be ready!!!
Pros: Parking lot
