  1. Terrible service
  2. find the service expensive (duh, it's a dealer) so I wouldn't say, get my oil changed or some other minor maintenance done here but for la.
  3. Fast and Excellent service
  4. The service people were kind, understanding, gave me whatever break they could and when I picked it up, they had washed it spotless - like off the show room.
  5. had been to other dealerships and private car shops - Herb Chambers had the best service.
  6. The manager, Kerry Masone, was amazing and sat down with me and answered all of my questions- she was extremely helpful and as passionate about the Mini as I was!
  7. they have the worst service ever!

  1. We are 2 working doctors who walked in one slow afternoon, perhaps 2 to 3 customers milling around.
  2. went in for a test drive, everything was good, some small annoying details like: I waited for 15 minutes for the car to be ready because the sales man needed a cigarette breaks (without letting you know first but shows up late with strong cigarette smel

Inferior Customer Service - Unresponsive

by crespomagno at Citysearch

Oh my God, I've never had to call so many times to find out if my car was ready. Dropped it off Wednesday - didn't hear until the next day (after I'd left three messages) whether it was ready. Friday they call to say it's ready - yeah great, I'm away for the weekend. Monday I pick it up and have to wait HALF AN HOUR while they "wash" it. Hello? You had the car five days!

I'm a very patient person, and the reward for my patience was complete disrespect.

I'll be taking my business elsewhere

European delivery a fun experience

by gregd on cs , Citysearch Contributor at Citysearch

We shopped for a new car for a few months. We looked at Lexus, BMW, and Infiniti. At BMW of Peabody they kept trying to sell us pre-owned (used) when we specifically said we wanted new. They also didn't know what they were selling. At Ira Lexus they wanted to know about us and had a stupid questionaire. We told them we were interested in a white IS 250. The sales idiot said they didn't have any. When looking at the cars I saw a white metallic car on the lot. The sales idiot corrected me and said that isn't white, it's arctic mist. OK it is whie with a blue tinge. If I were selling cars I would say how about this white color? After visiting other dealers we finally ended up at Herb Chambers BMW and were helped by Nick. In contrast to all the other car sales idiots we dealt with, Nick knew the answers to all our questions and if he had a question he found someone that knew the answer and got right back to us. After driving cars and figuring out what we wanted we decided to order a car and do European delivery. Nick took care of the order, and when we picked up the car in Munich it was exactly what we wanted. So far the only drawback to this experience is that the dealership doesn't have a decent delivery area, nor a parking lot. We also have been unable to obtain touch-up paint for the car and that is backordered through BMW, so not really their fault. If you want a BMW stop by and ask for Nick to see if you can do a deal. Even if you don't buy the car you will at least be dealing with a competent professional salesman.

  • Pros: The car we ordered was delivered as specified. Prof salesman
  • Cons: busy, touch up paint unavailable for months so far

sleasy car salesmanship in its best

by Young Professional at Citysearch

Sales guy (Ahmed? not sure, Middle Eastern guy) was arrogant, decieivng (pretended car was not in stock), played hard to get. sold a car that was on the floor under disguise that it was not a showroom car. pressured to sign blank papers and squeezed a high charge in it we did not agree upon. essentially - all the sleasy tricks you hear about. r o tten palce. when I bought my last car (Honda) i haven't seen anything even close i Honda dealership (Weymouth). never coming back to buy anything else. don't advise anyone either.

  • Pros: convenient location
  • Cons: everything else

Check with the Better Business , before shopping here

by boston20 at Citysearch

How many times should you bring back a new car for the same problem? I know the parts made in china and need to be shipped via Germany. Oil change $385. The car has been in the shop now for over 7 weeks trying to fix the same problem. I will never go back there. We are off to BMW West.

Poor service!

by drmikechung at Citysearch

Nice sale guy, Sheraz.

Service is extremely spotty. I would recommend driving out to Foreign Motors West.

Service department is overwhelmed at HC. Often can't get a straight answer from anyone.

  • Pros: sales - sheraz
  • Cons: service
