Service department sucks. This establishment is not what they say they are, my 2002 BMW x5 had a small electrical fire, call my insurance company they suggest some outside shop to do the work. With the bmw standard and reputation that this company preceive i thought i'll have them do the work, because the are bmw expert well that didn't go very well, the work was sloppy and incomplete. They forget to attached the censor wire to my expansion tank they wire the car back together and forget to snyc my remote to my key. I made a complaint to the service advisor he goes by the first name Jim don't know his last name and instead of apologise he denied that it was the technician who worked on the vehicles fault and told me that someone else worked on the vehicle and that my key was not working in the first place. Then on top of all that i paid the deductible by check, two days later i check my balance in my checking account to find that Herb Chambers had cashed my check for my deductible and went and did an electronic debit from my account causing my account to be under significantly. Now i ask the question what kind of a professionalism is this action from a company with a reputation such as Herb Chambers and i didn't even get an apology but thet got paid $3500.00 so they took my money and did a lousy job on my car. I will not only wouldn't recomend anyone to this business but i will not do business with them any longer.

Stay Away - Thieves!. There is a reason that this dealership has so MANY poor reviews on Yelp and Citysearch- they are scumbags. This has been my second visit here, and the most awful one at that. The first time I came in when I had just purchased my car to get it checked, and they didn't really do anything except a really poor car wash. During this visit, I went in to get one of my tires replaced (it had a flat) and decided to buy my own tires and bring them in - sick of spending $400 for one of their shitty run-flat tires. I came in at 7:45AM and thought I would be out in 30 minutes or so and on my way to work. WRONG. As soon as I speak to my SA (Nick Matroni) he said it would be an hour. I knew it shouldn't take that long just to put a bloody tire on, but I figured I would just go grab some breakfast at the McD's across the street.

An hour later, I go up and ask where my car is. My SA then struggles to locate the tech to find out whats happening with my car. He then informs me that they are STILL taking the flat tire off. Are you kidding me?! 1 hour later and you're only still taking the tire out? I also mentioned to him that some screws were missing in my engine bay and if he could put em back on. 45 minutes later I go up to him again and he says that the screws are out of stock (right so you're a BMW dealer and you ran out of screws for your most selling/common car - 3 series) and that my car will be down in a couple of minutes. I then pay a whooping $60 just for them to mount and balance a tire LOL. I then proceed outside to search for my car only to see that it hasn't been washed (which is what he said was taking so long for it to get ready) and that there is another car ahead of me. I leave in frustration and disappointment. When I get home I decide to just check if my wheel lock has been put back or not. Not as a surprise, the wheel lock wasn't there and when I called my SA asking where it was he said "Sorry, the tech left it on his toolbox. You can come back and get it". So you can't provide a few screws for my car, but you can steal other parts from my car that I need?! Wasn't expecting this from a BMW dealership...

I had read all these reviews on Yelp before going in, but since it was the only dealer in Boston and close to me I decided I would give it a shot. NEVER AGAIN! Stay away from this poor establishment if you care about your $60k car and don't want to cause yourself mental stress.

disrespectful and dismissive attitude to potential customer. reached out via website to get a quick quote and arrange a test drive of a model in inventory in the Sudbury Herb Chambers BMW. Have been a longstanding Audi customer looking at other options. We went in on Sunday and never even got to see a sales person. Then I happened to go into the Boston showroom and found the model. Reached out again via email to arrange a test drive, set an appointment, brought the family and was greeted very kindly. However was told test drives were only possible upon payment of a deposit, which we accepted. Salesperson went to check with the GM and came back with the news that no test drives would be allowed. I would normally say this was a complete waste of time but its hopefully beneficial to others considering purchasing at this company. Its too big and too arrogant. Suggest looking elsewhere.

Inferior Customer Service - Unresponsive. Oh my God, I've never had to call so many times to find out if my car was ready. Dropped it off Wednesday - didn't hear until the next day (after I'd left three messages) whether it was ready. Friday they call to say it's ready - yeah great, I'm away for the weekend. Monday I pick it up and have to wait HALF AN HOUR while they "wash" it. Hello? You had the car five days!

I'm a very patient person, and the reward for my patience was complete disrespect.

I'll be taking my business elsewhere

European delivery a fun experience. We shopped for a new car for a few months. We looked at Lexus, BMW, and Infiniti. At BMW of Peabody they kept trying to sell us pre-owned (used) when we specifically said we wanted new. They also didn't know what they were selling. At Ira Lexus they wanted to know about us and had a stupid questionaire. We told them we were interested in a white IS 250. The sales idiot said they didn't have any. When looking at the cars I saw a white metallic car on the lot. The sales idiot corrected me and said that isn't white, it's arctic mist. OK it is whie with a blue tinge. If I were selling cars I would say how about this white color? After visiting other dealers we finally ended up at Herb Chambers BMW and were helped by Nick. In contrast to all the other car sales idiots we dealt with, Nick knew the answers to all our questions and if he had a question he found someone that knew the answer and got right back to us. After driving cars and figuring out what we wanted we decided to order a car and do European delivery. Nick took care of the order, and when we picked up the car in Munich it was exactly what we wanted. So far the only drawback to this experience is that the dealership doesn't have a decent delivery area, nor a parking lot. We also have been unable to obtain touch-up paint for the car and that is backordered through BMW, so not really their fault. If you want a BMW stop by and ask for Nick to see if you can do a deal. Even if you don't buy the car you will at least be dealing with a competent professional salesman.
