What People Are Saying About Bina Osteria

In the midst of Downtown Crossing's less-than-glamorous shuttered storefronts and endless construction, this gleaming spot is one major step in "sprucing up" the area. Located in the North Tower of the Ritz Carlton Residences, Bina Osteria serves high-end Italian in a space-agey cocoon of geometric minimalism. With couches and sleek stools in the bar area, an airy dining area and a cool palette in the renovated space, the atmosphere matches the food--modern and unique. Local and sustainable ingredients shine on a menu filled with fresh salads, easily sharable appetizers and heartier pasta…
Editor's Tips
- Parking:
- It's almost impossible to find parking in the area; they do have valet, but to save money, several spaces near the restaurant are commercial spots that are free to park in after 7pm.
- Where to Sit:
- The bar and lounge serves a full menu and are more casual and cozy than the spacious dining room.
- Save Money:
- Every Tuesday, from 5:15pm-6:15pm, $15 nabs you snacks by Executive Chef Brian Konefal and samples from the wine list and cocktail menu. During this time, also take a 15% discount at gourmet shop BiNA alimentari next door.

Super swank, but who doesn't like that on a Sat night?

So I walked into BiNA dressed like a pirate.. (pirate pub crawl the same day; friend's birthday party that night) and nobody stopped me @ the door. Probably because a "welcome to the jungle" party was going on @ the same time so they were ready for anything..
I went to the bar and made friends immediately with some ladies who parted so I could get to the bald bartender dude who looked like Chiklis from The Shield. He didn't have a smile on his face but it was pretty busy so I tried to chat him up. He cracked one for me while I asked for an Amstel & a G&T for one of my new friends. Don't get beer here. It will take for freaking ever. The drinks are amazing though if you're willing to splurge and they did have some passed picky food that I never got around to but I was full from dinner anyway..
It was CRAZY how many people I knew there! I was wondering where everybody was hiding! Super swank, right off Downtown Crossing/Park near SCLA and Felt. Will totally make an appearance again soon! TY BiNA!
- Pros: The crowd, the location, the suits :)
- Cons: $$ but be ready.. and don't get beer
