Best Iced Coffee

This place is classic! They have a simple donut menu and the glazed doughnut is very nice. The Donuts are baked in the back room. This establishment is owned by a close-knit Greek family and it has the nostalgic Boston feel to it. Many of the locals come in and talk about politics and sports over a cup of coffee. The have an throw back counter and swivel chairs. It is an awesome spot to grab a seat, donut, or coffee and read the Boston Globe or Boston Herald sports section. The best times to go there are Saturday morning when a local city council represetative comes in to answer the residents concerns or on Sunday after mass at the local Catholic Church. I currently live in Chicago, IL and looking for a place like Anna's Hand Cut Donuts. Also, Anna's has THE BEST iced coffee around. I think it is better than the Mary Lou's chain on the South Shore. They use natural sugar and melt it with hot coffee before filling it up with the iced version. It gives it such a flavor, as opposed to Dunkin Donuts that uses a processed liquid sweetner to lighten it's iced coffee with. The iced coffee at Anna's has made me a iced drinker 365 days out of the year. Everytime I go back home to Boston, Anna's is a must stop. Also, if you want to get a really great sense of Boston culture and it's resident's, stop by at Anna's.
