Amazing Wig for Chemo Treatment!!!
by lucy1286 at Citysearch
I have gone to The Salon at 10 Newbury's Hair Replacement Center since I was diagnosed w/ breast cancer in May at age 24. From the start, Pat and the team there have been amazing, and have made the experience of hair loss due to chemotherapy easier and less scary than I had anticipated. They helped me create/select a customized wig before chemotherapy started, and then have helped me to maintain and care for my wig when I started to use it during chemotherapy treatment. I could not be happier with the wig--everyone, from family and friends to coworkers and new acquaintances--have been amazed at how natural it looks; no one can tell that it is not my real hair.
Having a beautiful, quality, customized wig has given me confidence and peace of mind throughout my cancer treatment. Undergoing treatment for cancer is a challenge, and hair loss due to chemotherapy can be an added burden. With my wig, hair loss was one less thing to worry about--I could focus on my health and treatment, and feel great about how I looked. At The Salon at 10 Newbury's Hair Replacement Center, you will receive excellent service, support, and compassion in addition to great hair replacement solutions.
Makes my look younger
by Judith OConnor at Citysearch
When I finally made the decision to where a hair piece, I found Pat. My experience was more than I could have asked for. My hair was so fine you could see my scalp and this made me look old. After being fitted for a hair piece I now have a finished look that make me look 10 years younger. I say this because now people stop me and say " WOW! you look great, what have to done to your self, did you loose weight. (I wish).
Thanks Pat for making me look and feel wonderful.

Wonderful Experience
by mandb at Citysearch
The hardest part of my experience was making that first phone call to Patricia. After that, it was easy. From the moment my daughter and I entered the salon, we were made to feel at ease and welcome. My thin hair had been an embarrassment for far too long and it was with both excitement and anticipation that I went to see Patricia. Her gentle manner, superior expertise, and willingness to listen all contributed to a wonderful experience. I proudly wore my new wig out of the salon! I highly recommend this wonderful salon and Patricia Wrixon to anyone suffering the effects of chemo or alopecia.
- Pros: Pat was kind, understanding, and knowledgeable
- Cons: None!

Amazing Salon! Super Service!

The Salon At 10 Newbury is a beautiful salon conveniently located on Newbury Street. Unfortunately, my visit to the salon was just after a shocking breast cancer diagnosis at a young age; I learned that I would be losing my hair very soon due to chemotherapy. Very fortunately, I had done my research and learned that Pat Wrixon had a wonderful reputation for matching clients with the perfect wig. From the moment I met Pat, I knew I was in good hands. Not only is she super knowledgeable, Pat is highly sensitive to the emotional needs of clients going through trying times like mine, and a great listener. She was very attentive to my wishes, while gently making suggestions based on her many years of experience. Pat and her team generously spent hours with me and walked me through every step of finding my perfect wig: from choosing the right color, length, and type of hair, shaving off my real hair, teaching me how to shampoo the wig, cutting, blowing and styling the wig, etc. Pat and every stylist I worked with were so professional, patient, and talented. During difficult times, it makes all the difference in the world when people take the time to show you that they really care and want to make you happy. This alone, would motivate me to right a glowing review of this special salon. Though, I should definitely mention that my wig turned out absolutely gorgeous!!! It is just like my natural hair only much, much better and easy to manage! It would have to be pried off my head once chemotherapy is over, except that I am anxious to see how the wizards at 10 Newbury can transform the new hair that grows in! I have gone to many, many salons in Boston. No matter how you look at it, Cancer is BAD. However, I have found that there can be some good things that come from having cancer. For me, meeting Pat and knowing that I have finally found a salon where I can always count on great service, genuine cutsomer care, and cutting edge style is a VERY GOOD THING.
- Pros: Best Salon in Boston!
- Cons: None
