a destination spot. I bring all of my out-of-town guests to Drink, and it's usually the most memorable part of their visit. No one does cocktails like this place. For those who love lime, I recommend 'The Last Word.' It's worth every cent for one of their drinks, which I lovingly call 'Art in a glass.' My Fave. This is one of my favorite bars in Boston, the one I drag other people to in order to make them believers. Each drink is a tiny, perfect jewel of cocktaildom. Yes, it's a bit expensive, but that's to be expected when the ingredients are all fresh, the bartenders actually know what they're talking about, and seem happy, even eager, to make suggestions. I also happen to think the food is great, although it truly is just cocktail party fare - don't try to fill up or you'll be disappointed. Go, have 1 or 2 perfectly crafted cocktails and a quick bite, then head on out for a more substantive meal elsewhere.…

Order some snacks while you wait for your drink, which has a good chance of being a reinvented Prohibition Era cocktail muddled with fresh-plucked herbs. (I believe mine was The Aviation, and it had lemon verbena in it. Yum!)
