Over Priced and EXTREMELY Horrible Service. I grew up in the area eating pizza their since I was like four. Ever since the food is over priced and the service has never been so horrible. The owner is this old guy with a mustache with the most nastiest attitude ever. OMG... please don't waste your time their you'll be in such a bad mood you wont even enjoy your food. Don't get me wrong great pizza horrible service.
rude staff. There are many other good restaurants in Jamaica Plain where the customer is treated with respect. If you want to be in the presence of rudeness and sarcasm, then Same Old Place is the place for you. The owner treats customers and his staff so rudely. He acts like he is doing you a favor by allowing you to buy pizza from him.
worth it all around. I grew up in J.P. and have been going there for years.. I moved to N.H. in 2002 and i still travel to JP for the best pizza and steak and cheese subs. I Love everyone that works there and i used to work there myself. So if your in the Jp area you gotta go there...
Outstanding Pizza!!!.
Great Great Pizza....really it's the best around. A must try when in JP!!!!
As to rude service, yeah I've watched the owner be rude to folks on more than one occasion (not letting a Mom have a cup of tap water for her child was the worst...she had to buy a bottled water), the worst though is the way that he talks to his sister/wife (not sure who she is). But really he's the only problem, everyone else is VERY VERY sweet....and actually once the owner begins to recognize you he can actually be be quite charming too!
Best Pizza In Jamaica Plain!. Same Old Place is one my favorite local pizzerias. The setting is one where you can easily feel comfortable in. Many may say that they experienced rude service while eating there, but those guys are just joking around with you.
Best Pizza around Boston. I was thrilled to find this place. I'm from NJ/NY and was disappointed that the pizza around Boston tasted no better than some cardboard with sweet sauce on it. It's a pizzeria, I'm not looking for someone to kiss up to me, I want some real pizza that is a good-sized parlor slice. They've never been rude to me and my pizza is always nice and hot. We've had it delivered and always enjoyed it. I would proudly bring my Italian relatives from NY here for a slice of pie.
Slow and rude. When I called an hour after the order was placed to see what was taking so long, the response was "It's out the door. It'll be there honey" and then a dialtone. An hour and 40 minutes after we ordered, the delivery guy finally arrived, and became belligerent when I turned away the cold pizza. There are too many good pizza places in Boston; don't waste your time with these bozos.
Great Food But Rude. This pizza is definitely tasty. The servers have been pretty rude to me in the past. Great pizza though. Plain regular pizza joint pizza with tasty sauce cheese and toppings.
Yummy. This is the best pizza you will ever taste...thin crust tasty sauce and bubbly cheese...yummy...kinda high priced for just a regular old pizza place but worth it
mama mia, thatsa great pizza pie. The best damn slice I ever had. My wait in the line of 20+ people lasted about 60 seconds. Quick and delicious, two things I look for in a pizza parlor. Plus, there was plenty of room to sit and eat. There must have been seating for 70. The incredible thing I noticed was they maintain their business so clean, even during peak hours.
