Easy accessibility--and live lobster--and make this airport shine, but the ongoing construction is a major downer..
In Short
Three miles from downtown Boston, the airport is accessible by car through the Callahan and Ted Williams tunnels, the Blue Line, the bus from South Station or a water shuttle. While major construction has turned Logan into a smaller version of the Big Dig, you can still find your way in and out if you pay close attention to the signs. With five terminals and more than 100 gates, getting around the airport takes some time.
I've seen worse.
Sure, Logan is under construction. But once inside, it's a pretty flyer friendly place. Great restaurants in Terminal's B and C. It's a USAirways Hub so expect better service from them. Terminal E is getting better. Forget flying AirTran from here.

confusing & congested. Logan Airport is, by far, the most congested and confusing airport in the US. Not to mention, the location with respect to downtown, is so close, but yet so far and so difficult to get to. The Callahan and Sommers Tunnels are a mess and they charge you $3.00 to depart the airport just to get in and stay in a traffic mess. This airport is really poorly located and difficult to access.
BOS. Come an hour early and ur all set no more of the BOS is so long of a wait stuff cuz it aint that bad. Just rememba a CD Playa wen ur planes late
bad trip. I've never flown out of Logan anywhere near my scheduled time. I've had better experiences in rural Slovakian airports. This place is the pits.
