A real spit and saw dust place

We were here years ago and a lovely night was had by all.The barman didn't know the difference between lager and ale and wasn't happy to be told he was serving the wrong stuff. The few customers scattered around the bar were unwelcoming and unfriendly.And oh yeah after we left I discovered someone had spat on my back. And we're IRISH, God knows how they treat the rest of you.Bienvenue en Southie.

Love it! I've been a "regular" at the Thorn for over a year, and have never found a more comfortable place to sling back a few pints. Great friends, hip music, the BEST bartenders! Forget the Guinness--go for the real taste in a Magners' Cider--to die for! Fridays and Sundays are the best, however, the Sunday crowd during the summer months can sometimes be unpredictable.
- Pros: always able to park, other bars--close by, cute Irish boys!!!
- Cons: no food, closes at 1:00 am
