“The music is fun and the selection of beers/ciders on tap is great.”
“The food was gross, the spinach dip had 99% cream cheese (if that what it was) and 1% spinach.”

“Good beer & drink selection - the new menu is excellent!”
“it's the best place to go in southie.”
“My one complaint is the SLOW bartenders.”
Great for watching games and their chili!. This place always has a great vibe. They have lots of TVs and a giant screen for watching games and their chili is excellent!
Good crowd....great beer selection....lame bartenders. My friends and I frequent the Beer Garden and always seem to have a good time. The crowd is mostly attractive young(er) professionals, with the occasional standard frat boy tools mixed in. The music is fun and the selection of beers/ciders on tap is great. My one complaint is the SLOW bartenders. It takes forever to get a drink (I tip well) and took forever to close out my tab at the end of the night. Maybe management would consider hiring some more help?!? Other than that...cool place.
Popular South Boston hangout pleases area residents with affordable food and drink..
In Short
The Beer Garden's high ceilings, TVs and exposed brick walls combine to yield a casual, welcoming vibe. On any given night, the crowd is made up of neighborhood residents (mostly young professionals). Besides a top-notch beer selection, the bar serves up an extensive menu of upscale bar fare (crab-stuffed grilled portobellos, chicken and roasted red onion quesadillas).
Cold Beers, Good Service, Friendly Staff. Great place to watch a game or check out the sights..... Always something happening. Good beer & drink selection - the new menu is excellent!
yuck. The food was gross, the spinach dip had 99% cream cheese (if that what it was) and 1% spinach. The meal I got was average and my companion's sandwich was about the same caliber. Sitting at the tables we weren't offered cold glasses with our beers
entertaining. I have been visiting the Beer Garden for about five years now and it hasn't changed except that it has gotton busier. I understand why it gets so packed on friday and saturday nights....it's the best place to go in southie. The atmosphere is young and friendly. I always have a good time with friends here.
