Great service and fair prices.. I've lived in the South End for 5+years now. I've tried others and they were either too small and unable to respond quickly or charged "South End" prices.

Boston Standard by far is the most fair, responsive, and knowledgeable.



My technician the other day was Mark C. Not only did Mark deal with the problem at hand but I asked Mark for some advice on my hot water heater, washer hook-ups, and AC. Mark was open and honest in his advice.



I absolutely will continue to use Boston Standard.

Miserable service. We requested a quote for a large job - addition of ductless air conditioning to a 1927 house. They came out to our house, but weeks have gone by and we never received a quote. We called customer service 5x and followed up; they were extremely apologetic, but still a quote has never been delivered.

Of course, we won't use them for the work, but are flabbergasted that they couldn't be bothered to quote for the work.

Best Plumber I Have Found. These guys came out and fixed my A/C problem for a little more than half of what the other guy quoted me for the work. They were on time and seemed to know what they were doing.

My only complaint is the weekend appointment charge so I had to wait for them until Monday when there is no weekend appointment charge. But that's OK since my A/C works now.

Got the job done right. Jeff the plumber arived at our condo on time and was able to figure out that we needed to replace the hot water heater. He gave us a price and we scheduled a time to get the work done that day, he had all of the parts in his truck. I thought it was funny that he called his truck his rolling warehouse and it was true. LOL

PSYCHED!. My neighbor upstairs apparently likes to flush *things* down the toilet that wind up coming through the light above my dining room table!! argh. I had boston standard plumbing come out on the weekend and they opened up the ceiling for me, and of course, found that things weren't done right. Nonetheless, Pete (i think) got the drain cleared and found the source of the problem... a neighbor who doesn't know how to use MODERN PLUMBING!!! My place was a biological disaster area, and Pete gave me the number of a cleanup company who specializes in this sort of mess. A horrible weekend, to say the bare minimum, but I was happy with Boston Standard and would use them in the future if I haven't moved already!

Great Plumbing Company. Hiring a plumber is not like planning a cruise...You don't start out looking forward to the fun you'll have spending your money on plumbing repairs. So when we ran out of hot water, we knew we would probably need a new water heater and were, to say the least, a little cranky when we were looking for a plumber. We had just moved into the area and knew no one, so we asked a few people we'd met in the neighborhood and seemed to hear good things about Boston Standard. We called several plumbers and were impressed that Boston Standard actually answered the phone!!! YAY!! They got to our house within an hour and put booties on before they even stepped inside the house--and it was really nasty outside, so that was a huge plus. They explained the costs and warranty, etc. before they did another thing and then we gave them the OK to install the water heater--they worked so quietly and professionally--we were really impressed. As I said, as new home owners, we hadn't planned on spending that kind of money, but we felt really good about doing business with these guys and will use them again [just hope it's not too soon.]

These guys are awesome!. I didn't expect a PLUMBER to do such a clean job- I had to have my ceiling torn down to fix the shower, and Boston Standard completely protected my home from the really nasty dust and dirt. I thought that this was going to be horrible, but when they came over and put on "booties" I knew I called the right place, because trust me, I've had some BAD plumbers that swore and were rude etc... Not the case with boston Standard.. I strongly recommend that you use them if you've got a problem.

Best plumber in Boston area. We had to replace our old boiler for a new one, we shopped around getting different quotes. We went with Boston Standard Plumbing & Heating they were very professional, on time, got the work done quickly and efficiently and the tech wore booties over his shoes to protect our floor. We will contiune to use this company for any other plumbing and heating problems we have.

Professional Plumber!. I would stongly recommend Boston Standard to anyone looking for a professional plumber. I needed my toilet replaced and the technician came out on time, explained why he would not repair my toilet and why he recommended installing a new one, and he provided a quote before he did the work. It was a little more than I had wanted to spend, but the work was done well and the technician was great. I will use Boston Standard again for any plumbing issues in my home.
