Best Carbonara - great value. Bottega is a quaint little eatery with a variety of different pastas and sauces for one to mix and mingle. The prices usually range from $5-10 depending on what is ordered. There are also hot meals that are served daily. You can make you own salad with a variety of deli ingredients to add. They also serve sandwiches. One of the most popular dishes by far is the spaghetti carbonara which is tasty. There are 2 locations on Harvard Street in Brookline. Great value and food right in the heart of Brookline. Nice intimate setting good for first dates on a budget or lunch.

Big disappointment. After hearing so much about Bottega my standards were obviously quite high. But I don't think that's why I was disappointed. The food is below average, especially since the owners claim to be Italian. They obviously have never had good Italian food. The pasta is overcooked and the sauces are way too sugary. In additon, the pasta has not been cooked in water containing enough salt. However, the interior is cute and cozy as everyone sits next to eachother on long benches.
