The Scene
All warm lighting, stylish touches and fabulous people--this is one of the area's premier places to see and be seen. Just past the entrance, a cozy, intimate bar looks out onto the long dining room and the open kitchen. Black-clad waiters help interpret the imaginative menu's many unusual flavor combinations. The bar features an excellent drink menu and a serviceable wine list. Weekend brunch service adds a whimsical touch, as patrons and waitstaff arrive bedecked in their pajamas.
The Food
Expect the unexpected, as the menu offers such refreshing options as roasted chicken livers, brussels sprouts and homemade doughnuts. There are some missteps, however. Avoid the rather fishy salt-cod mashed potatoes in favor of flavorful seared tuna and sea bass wrapped in banana leaves. Homemade sorbets are a superb closer--as are the cinnamon-sugar doughnuts, which come with sweet whipped mascarpone cheese for dipping.

We went here over the summer for the PJ brunch with another couple and our (combined) 4 toddlers. Food and service were both excellent. Our server was very attentive, and they even gave us our own private room in the back (although with 4 small kids, I can understand why!). Food really was quite delicious, and all very reasonable. We'll definitely be back.

went for restaurant week w/friends. food was good but not exceptional. their "tibetan pork"(?) dumplings... i don't know... tell me why it's any different from regular pork dumplings? other items (i had the steak, can't remember what dessert) were great, ambiance was great, price... was great--bc it was restaurant week prix fixe. :)
