Samuel Adams made his call for the Boston Tea Party here.. In Short
Old South Church is one of Boston's most historic venues. Old South, as it's affectionately known, was organized in 1669 by dissenters who broke from the First Church in Boston over the requirement of religious conversion for membership.Benjamin Franklin was baptized at Old South in 1706. Samuel Adams made his impassioned call for the Boston Tea Party there in 1773. Old South Deacon William Dawes rode with Paul Revere to warn of the British coming on that famous night in 1775.
